TL;DR:

We’re looking for a strategic, high-output Director of Marketing Communications to lead our brand voice, category narrative, and external communications across all channels. This role is ideal for a marketing leader who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and execution—and wants to help shape a new category from the ground up.

You’ll own our narrative, manage our content and comms engine, and partner across sales, product, and customer success to bring the story of AI Optimization to life. This isn’t just a PR or content role—it’s about aligning our brand to growth, creating assets that accelerate revenue, and building a unified voice across every customer and market touchpoint. If you’ve driven global messaging strategies, launched enterprise platforms, and can translate technical concepts into compelling market-facing stories, we want to talk to you.

This role is open to remote candidates in North America

If you’re ready to push boundaries and shape the future of industrial intelligence, now’s the time to join us.

In this position, you will:

  • Own and evolve Imubit’s core narrative, messaging frameworks, and brand voice across web, social, sales collateral, product marketing, and customer communications
  • Lead the development and execution of an integrated content strategy, including vertical-specific guides, demo narratives, product one-pagers, case studies, and whitepapers
  • Manage PR agency relationships and drive media outreach, press releases, and announcements aligned with company milestones
  • Expand our analyst relations strategy beyond ARC—identifying the right influencers, briefings, and reports to support category creation
  • Build scalable communications playbooks to support launches, demand gen campaigns, customer events, and product announcements
  • Partner with product, demand gen, and sales to ensure messaging consistency from top of funnel through expansion
  • Drive thought leadership and executive visibility through bylines, speaking engagements, and social content
  • Collaborate with design and brand to ensure all customer-facing assets meet a high visual and editorial standard
  • Create and manage content calendars and editorial plans to support ongoing campaigns and field activities
  • Establish success metrics and continuously optimize content performance, messaging resonance, and audience engagement

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 7+ years of B2B marketing communications, product marketing, or brand leadership experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS or industrial/technical markets
  • Proven experience building and scaling brand and narrative strategy in early or growth-stage companies
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive external communications, content marketing, and analyst relations
  • Experience supporting complex buyer journeys with messaging tailored by persona and vertical
  • Exceptional storytelling skills—can distill technical and complex topics into clear, compelling narratives
  • Deep knowledge of the B2B content lifecycle: planning, production, distribution, and performance measurement
  • Understanding of GTM motion, sales enablement, and how content maps to pipeline and revenue
  • Familiarity with media relations, industry analyst programs, and corporate communications best practices
  • Comfortable working across functions and levels—from executive alignment to IC collaboration
  • Strong project management, editorial, and communication skills
  • Highly strategic, organized, and execution-oriented

Character Traits:

  • Visionary: You can craft a category-defining narrative and bring others along
  • Precision-driven: You hold the line on quality, consistency, and clarity
  • Collaborative: You work cross-functionally and elevate others’ ideas with your own
  • Self-starter: You take initiative and follow through with urgency and care

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
