About The Role

As the Director of Market Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth and expansion of PolyNovo’s market presence. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive market development strategies to increase market share, penetrate new markets, and maximize revenue opportunities. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, market analysis, clinical and technical acumen, and strong leadership to drive results.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement market development strategies to achieve company growth objectives. 
  • Manage existing sales agents and source additional agents as needed.  
  • Initial focus will be on the existing business in Canada with specific requirements for growth of existing business in the West and developing new business in the Quebec and East.   
  • Diversify the current business, focus on trauma, limb salvage, and limb reconstruction. 
  • Create a Canada dashboard to measure and track progress of accounts and surgeons, procedural growth, sales rep performance. 
  • Introduce hospital business reviews with active accounts to identify new opportunities. 
  • Conduct field-based market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, market trends, and competitive activities.   
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Agents, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and other internal partners to align market development initiatives with overall business goals. 
  • Identify market needs, plan, and execute the go-to-market strategies for new product launches and market expansion efforts. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and industry stakeholders. 
  • Provide training, leadership, and guidance to the contracted sales agents, including setting goals, performance management, and set territory expectations. 
  • Monitor and track market performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed. 
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends to inform strategic decision-making. 
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events. 
  • Identify additional resources and tools for greater efficiencies and effectiveness. 
  • Develop educational profiles and plans for both sales agents and HCP, working collaboratively with Sales Enablement and Clinical Medical Affairs.  
  • Identify potential KOL surgeons and other HCP to foster our education plan. 
  • Build and foster the PolyNovo culture within our sales agent teams. 
  • Active participation in our company events, town halls, leadership, and sales trainings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred. 
  • 12 years of experience in marketing, business development, or related roles within the medical device industry. 
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results. 
  • Experience managing distributors in a sales environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful market development strategies. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results. 
  • Ensure the development and constant update of demand forecasts.  
  • Travel up to 50% of time, mostly international.  Some months may be more, others less, depending on activity and territory requirements.   
  • Must have valid Passport and ability to travel international.

The salary for this position is $175,000 plus bonus & commissions.
