ABOUT THE ROLE
FOX is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and highly collaborative Director, Lifecycle Marketing - Retention, FOX One to lead subscriber retention strategy for FOX’s flagship direct-to-consumer platform, FOX One.
This role owns the end-to-end retention vision for FOX One—driving in-life engagement, increasing viewership frequency, reducing churn, strengthening habit formation, and maximizing subscriber lifetime value. The Director, Lifecycle Marketing - Retention will lead retention strategy across all owned CRM channels (email, push, in-app messaging, on platform advertisements and emerging touchpoints), ensuring on-platform and off-platform messaging is cohesive, personalized, and performance-driven.
The ideal candidate is an expert in streaming subscription lifecycle marketing, experimentation, and personalization at scale. They combine strong analytical rigor with creative instincts and understand how to translate content, tentpole programming, and product features into sustained subscriber engagement.
This role partners closely with Product, Data, Merchandising, Growth, and CRM Operations teams and plays a critical role in shaping FOX One’s long-term retention strategy.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Own and evolve the comprehensive lifecycle retention strategy for FOX One subscribers.
Define and own the retention experimentation roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on projected business impact.
Develop advanced segmentation strategies based on behavioral data, viewership patterns, tenure, content affinity, and engagement.
Implement personalized messaging frameworks that dynamically surface relevant programming, tentpoles, and features.
Lead in-life CRM campaigns designed to increase engagement, deepen content discovery, and drive incremental lift in viewership.
Partner with Product to drive adoption of habit-forming features including watch streaks, favorites, alerts, reminders, and personalized recommendations.
Translate product enhancements into lifecycle strategies that reinforce daily and weekly usage behaviors.
Support experimentation tied to feature engagement and long-term subscriber stickiness.
Lead A/B and multivariate testing initiatives to optimize timing, frequency, creative, and offer strategies.
Quantify incremental lift in engagement and retention, partnering with Analytics to establish clear measurement frameworks.
Lead upsell initiatives to increase subscriber value, including premium feature adoption and deeper content engagement.
Develop structured winback journeys to re-engage dormant and declining-viewership subscribers.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related field
10+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or retention strategy within subscription, streaming, or DTC environments.
Proven track record of reducing churn and driving measurable improvements in engagement and lifetime value.
Deep expertise in segmentation, personalization, and experimentation frameworks.
Strong analytical acumen and experience working with tools such as Braze, Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or equivalent platforms.
Experience partnering closely with Product and Data teams on churn modeling, habit formation, and feature adoption strategies.
Demonstrated success optimizing cancel flows and testing save strategies.
Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills.
Experience in streaming, media, or entertainment preferred.
Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position. Selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $160,000.00-200,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
