JOB TITLE: Director, IT
LOCATION: REMOTE

THE ROLE: As Director, IT you will report directly to the SVP Engineering. Splice IT owns and secures the critical technology our employees use every day, including laptops, identity and access management, collaboration platforms and technical office infrastructure. In this role, you’ll lead the IT team across these domains, helping them scale systems, improve reliability, and reduce manual work. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape the technical direction of employee technology at Splice while helping your team grow their scope and ownership. You’ll also partner with teams across the company to improve productivity and protect company data.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Own roadmaps, technical execution, project delivery, and day-to-day operations for internal systems and infrastructure
  • Work cross-department to deliver secure, reliable, and well-integrated employee-facing technology
  • Design and maintain automated onboarding / off-boarding processes to ensure Day One productivity
  • Implement and manage tools like Okta, 1Password/Kolide, Google Workspace, Notion, Slack and Zoom
  • Define clear objectives for the team and lead them in achieving those goals
  • Establish and maintain efficient policies and processes to facilitate the organization’s productivity
  • Stay current on the latest technologies, best practices, and industry trends in information technology
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to early-career IT professionals to support their technical and professional growth
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Show curiosity about our customer outcomes and our business, identifying higher-level insights and opportunities across departments to elevate Splice to the next level of performance and growth

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Proven expertise managing IT systems at technology companies (ideally 100–500 employees).
  • Deep hands-on experience with MDM, SSO, SaaS administration, and endpoint security.
  • Experience supporting hybrid or remote-first teams and making distributed work seamless.
  • Proficient in automating away repetitive tasks and building scalable internal tooling.
  • Proven track record of balancing short-term fixes with long-term infrastructure planning.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational skills, and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Proficient in strategy planning and stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in guiding IT professionals and identifying growth avenues for their continuing development, mentoring and coaching them in both personal development and business impact.

The national pay range for this role is $164,768-$205,960. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
