We are looking for a visionary Director of Global End User Engineering to serve as the primary leader of our digital workplace. In this role, you will move beyond traditional IT management to lead the strategic convergence of identity, security, and process automation. By overseeing our global Active Directory, Patching, Workstation engineering, and Enterprise Platform teams, you will eliminate technical friction and build a seamless, resilient environment that empowers our workforce to perform at scale, anywhere in the world.

Job Description

Identity Strategy and Global Directory accountability

Serve as the global owner for Active Directory ensuring the absolute health, security and integrity of the enterprise directory.  

Establish accountability for the lifecycle of service accounts, group policies to ensure the directory is fit for purpose as global authentication 

Lead the transition to a Passwordless enterprise

Accountable for Day 1 readiness through automated provisioning 

Global End Point Governance 

Own the executive strategy for vulnerability remediation, transforming patching from a “maintenance task” to a risk based resilience program. 

Partner with the CISO to design and drill Rapid Response Protocols ensuring the organization can neutralize zero day threats within hours through automated global deployment

Workstation Engineering and Digital Employee Experience 

Define and deploy a zero touch hardware strategy (using Autopilot and JAMF) to deliver a ready to work experience that removes IT as a bottleneck.  

Direct the end to end hardware lifecycle,  architecting high performance environments tailored for specialized personas (e.g. developer, offshore contractor etc.) balancing security requirements with seamless user performance

Standardize engineering "Golden Images" and platform workflows across AMER, EMEA, and APAC to ensure a borderless, friction-free employee experience.

Enterprise Platforms

Serve as the executive business owner for the ServiceNow and Atlassian stacks, evolving them from “ticketing tools” into an integrated Enterprise Service Management offering. Institutionalize an Out of the Box first policy to minimize custom code, ensuring platform scalability, seamless upgrades and long term stability.

Orchestrate a unified data strategy breaking down the "wall" between engineering teams and operations teams to give the C-suite a single, clear picture of organizational health.

Fiscal responsibility for Enterprise License agreements with Microsoft, ServiceNow and Atlassian to optimize ROI and reduce shelfware. 

Drive tool consolidation across all areas of responsibility, to deliver a best of breed approach to managing the end user workstation experience 

Talent Transformation 

Scale a world class engineering organization by shifting the teams focus from manual administration to high value automation and self service engineering

Act as the primary technical authority for end user engineering, presenting platform road maps and risk profiles to stakeholders

Measurement (key indicators this role would be responsible for)

  • Time to Value - how much faster can a new employee contribute

  • Risk Reduction -reducing the probability of a breach via end points

  • Total Cost of Ownership reduction through smart automation and vendor negotiation

  • Zero Touch provisioning  - through standardization and automation

Qualifications

Standardization, zero touch and tools that meet requirements and position us in a best of breed class. Governance and structure allowing us to fully understand our estate, manage it effectively and efficiently and have the ability to adapt to meet business needs.

  • A Bachelor's Degree is beneficial but business experience in Information Technology is necessary.
  • The candidate must be an “Engineers Leader” , someone who understands the technical aspects and has the ability to drive change and lead technical teams. 
  • A track record of moving a global organization from legacy to modern provisioning
  • 12+ Years in IT Infrastructure: A progressive career that began in hands-on systems engineering (AD, Windows/macOS management) and transitioned into high-level architecture and leadership.

  • Global Leadership (5+ Years): Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams across AMER, EMEA, and APAC. You must understand the nuances of follow-the-sun support and regional compliance (GDPR, CCPA).

  • Scale Accountability: Experience managing an environment of at least 5,000 to 15,000+ global users. The complexity of AD consolidation and global patching increases exponentially at this scale.

  • Vendor & ELA Management: Extensive experience negotiating Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs)

  • Vulnerability Management Leadership: Experience owning the "Patching SLA" and defending those metrics to a Board of Directors or a Risk Committee

  • Budgeting Management
