Job Summary
This role is a key member of the IT leadership team and is the strategic and operational integrator of the technology organization ensuring the CIO’s vision translates into coordinated action, measurable outcomes, and sustained business value. This role bridges strategic planning, portfolio delivery, vendor performance, and operational excellence, enabling the CIO and technology leadership team to operate with focus, foresight, and flawless execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Translate enterprise and technology strategy into actionable annual priorities, OKRs, and execution roadmaps across the CIO organization.
Orchestrate strategic planning cycles to align IT capabilities with business priorities and financial objectives.
Anticipate dependencies, surface trade-offs, and enable timely, informed decisions through structured planning and governance.
Oversee the PMO to ensure consistent delivery of technology programs that meet cost, schedule, and value expectations.
Elevate delivery maturity by embedding benefits realization, risk transparency, and agile governance practices.
Drive portfolio visibility and transform project data into performance intelligence that informs executive decisions.
Lead the strategic VMO agenda to maximize value, performance, and innovation from vendor partnerships; oversee governance, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiations with Procurement and Legal.
Establish vendor KPIs and performance scorecards to ensure accountability, cost optimization, and alignment with strategic outcomes.
Champion continuous improvement across technology processes to simplify operations, increase agility, and reduce waste.
Partner with Finance to lead IT budgeting, forecasting, and spend optimization, ensuring investments are data-driven and linked to enterprise priorities.
Develop and maintain executive dashboards and KPIs that measure performance, health, and strategic progress across teams.
Serve as a trusted extension of the CIO, shaping leadership meetings, communications, and governance forums while mentoring leaders in strategic execution and stakeholder engagement.
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed. Supervision Exercised (this section should be filled out when an employee has supervisory responsibilities)
Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies
Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications
Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CG mission, vision and values.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience:
10–15 years of progressive experience in IT strategy, operations, PMO/VMO leadership, or management consulting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven success in enabling C-level technology leaders through strategic planning, governance, and execution excellence.
Expertise in vendor management, portfolio performance, and financial stewardship of technology investments.
Strong analytical acumen with the ability to connect financials, KPIs, and business value narratives.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and influence skills able to align diverse stakeholders around a common vision.
Demonstrates emotional intelligence and humility while navigating complex environments; consistently brings clarity and composure to ambiguous or rapidly changing situation

The pay range for this position is $159,500.00 - $257,000.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
