SUMMARY: The Director of Investments is responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing the investment products offered on our platform. This role ensures a reliable and continuous supply of high-quality investment opportunities while maintaining regulatory compliance and strategic alignment with company goals. From overseeing product development to managing capital supply, the Director of Investments is a key figure in driving the success and credibility of our investment portfolio.

A DAY IN THE LIFE: 

Inventory & Supply Management:

  • Forecast inventory needs to guide origination and sourcing strategy
  • Source credit from existing partners to ensure sufficient supply to meet investor demand

Product Oversight & Performance:

  • Optimize capital costs in alignment with corporate lending guidance
  • Serve as the manager for REIT offerings

Quality & Controls:

  • Maintain accounting control over back-office operations
  • Audit product details and production processes for accuracy and efficiency
  • Serve as custodian of Investor FBO accounts

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Oversee SEC qualification processes for Regulation A and D offerings
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance & Accounting on periodic regulatory filings

Product Communication:

  • Support development and review of investment-related content across all channels (website, blog, webinars, UI, etc.)
  • Ensure investment product descriptions are accurate, compliant, and compelling

New Product Development:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of new financial products: ideation, stakeholder alignment, design, launch
  • Partner with Head of Product, regulatory, and marketing teams

Subject Matter Leadership:

  • Act as a financial SME within the business unit
  • Own relationships and operations related to Dwolla, Domo, FBO bank accounts, and investor tax processes
Requirements

YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:

  • 8+ years of experience in investment product management, capital markets, or financial operations
  • Strong working knowledge of Regulation A and D offerings
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end financial product workflows
  • Background in portfolio management, financial modeling, and compliance
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Prior experience with real estate investing platforms or fintech companies
  • Familiarity with tools like Domo, Dwolla, or other banking/payment systems
  • Experience leading product launches in a regulated environment
  • Background in accounting or financial reporting
