Director, Integrated Marketing

At Expedia Group, our Marketing team connects travelers to our brands through data-driven campaigns, content, and performance strategies, partnering across analytics, product, and commercial teams to drive awareness, engagement, and loyalty.

We are looking for a commercially minded, strategic marketing leader to shape and scale Brand Expedia’s integrated marketing approach across commercial and lifecycle moments. This role sits at the center of brand, business, and traveler needs—owning the brand value proposition and visual identity consistency, leading retail and commercial campaigns, and driving loyalty and CRM motions that support growth, engagement, and repeat booking behavior.

In this role, you will

  • Shape Brand Expedia’s value proposition and blueprint, inclusive of messaging hierarchies and implementation toolkits, ensuring consistent language and brand expression across marketing, product, partner, and service touchpoints.

  • Drive the rollout of visual identity systems and retail toolkits that bring the brand blueprint to life across channels, in close partnership with creative, brand design, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Own the strategy and execution of retail and commercial campaigns, including global sales, regional limited-time offers, product and commercial launches, and always-on messaging.

  • Build global integrated campaign plans and messaging frameworks that help Expedia respond quickly to market opportunities, seasonal retail moments, launch needs, and evolving business priorities.

  • Lead loyalty and CRM motions for Expedia One Key and broader lifecycle marketing, simplifying positioning and messaging while improving member engagement, comprehension, and repeat behavior through integrated marketing and CRM planning.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Merchandising, TEaL, Legal, regional markets, and channel owners to align messaging, creative development, campaign readiness, and business outcomes.

  • Use data, testing, and performance insights to optimize campaigns and scale repeatable ways of working across commercial and lifecycle marketing programs.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on direction in a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment.

Who you are

  • A strategic and commercially savvy marketing leader with deep experience across integrated marketing, brand strategy, campaign development, and lifecycle or CRM marketing.

  • Proven ability to translate business priorities into clear messaging, scaled campaign programs, and compelling customer-facing experiences.

  • Strong operator who can move between long-term brand building and near-term commercial delivery.

  • Experienced in leading cross-functional initiatives across creative, product, analytics, merchandising, legal, and regional market teams.

  • Comfortable working globally and navigating market nuance while protecting consistency of brand expression.

  • A strong people leader who can coach teams, build clarity, and create momentum in complex, evolving environments.

  • Equally comfortable setting direction, influencing senior stakeholders, and getting into the details to move work forward.

  • Must love this stuff!

Preferred experience

  • Experience leading global or multi-market integrated marketing programs.

  • Experience across retail moments, promotional campaigns, product or feature launches, and always-on marketing.

  • Experience with loyalty strategy, CRM planning, and member engagement programs.

  • Familiarity with travel, e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer technology businesses.

  • Strong command of messaging development, creative briefing, and cross-channel planning.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
