- Develop and lead an effective Inside Plant Leadership team to drive a high-performance culture.
- Lead a disciplined team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Oversee inside plant operations, including facilities, electronics, powering, cooling, cabling, and FCC compliance.
- Provide hands-on support for Technology Operations teams at COLO and Hub locations.
- Offer engineering operational support for new/existing technologies and initiatives.
- Evaluate and consult with leaders on technical operations, strategic planning, and network operations.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of management experience
- 5+ years of project management
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of company products and services
- Extensive knowledge of HFC
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
- Ability to supervise and motivate others
- Ability to use personal computer and software applications
- Extensive knowledge of all FCC compliance reports and other rules and regulations
- Demonstrated understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations
- Demonstrated understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state
- Demonstrated understanding of HVAC and power distribution systems
- Knowledge of Analog Transmission Line Theory, Electronic theory, Federal Communications Commission regulations, Fiber Optic theory, National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code
Working Conditions:
- 50% office and 50% critical facility environment
- Exposure to moderate noise levels
- Travel required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of critical facility construction/maintenance
