Make Your Mark:
The Director, Industry Solutions reports to the VP of Strategy and Industry Verticals Lead and will implement and execute a world class Value Architect and SC process for industries, using world class experience and techniques.
You'll Get To:

  • Proactive build of industry specific use case sales, SC, VA process flows across all industries that leverage the full BL platform capabilities; in-depth knowledge of solution a prerequisite
  • Build out of Whitepapers for marketing, sales, pre-sales, CS
  • Assist with industry sales enablement - Build and improve content for field and partner teams, feedback loop, content update into High Spot
  • Assist with customer and partner deal support to gain valuable feedback for continuous improvement of VA processes and use case content, and land/expand quickly
  • Refine and build new case studies for the use cases as sales occur to improve our message and generate additional marketing content
  • Build industry value assessments standards for industry use cases using leading techniques
  • Build out benchmarks on customer deployments to feed back into VA/Sales/marketing content
  • Mentor the industry SME's in the SC/VA org to broaden overall industry skill sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Comfort making decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and management ability as evidenced by a track record of leadership positions within software and/or technology organizations.
  • Deep familiarity with market and organizational elements of both SaaS and Enterprise-scale software businesses. Includes sales, marketing, services, and software development.
  • Understanding of accounting and finance concepts and terminology
  • Knowledge of modern web application architecture and engineering patterns and practices
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies
  • Familiarity with market and organizational elements of both SaaS and Enterprise-scale Software
  • Understanding of user-centered design / Design Thinking concepts
  • Established history of successful collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Skillful in deciphering customer needs and translating them into actionable strategies.


What You'll Bring:

  • MS. OR B.A. (MBA Preferred) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience at a modern software company (SaaS and/or Finance and Accounting preferred).
  • Comfort making decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and management ability as evidenced by a track record of leadership positions within software and/or technology organizations.
  • Deep familiarity with market and organizational elements of both SaaS and Enterprise-scale software businesses. Includes sales, marketing, services, and software development.
  • Willingness and ability to lead from the front
  • Understanding of accounting and finance concepts and terminology

Salary Range:
USD $179,000.00 - USD $224,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
