About Glia

Glia is the #1 Banking AI platform, empowering community and regional financial institutions to create efficiencies, accelerate loan growth, drive deposits, and deliver experiences that win against megabanks and fintechs.

Glia's Banking AI Operating System is a central intelligence layer on top of existing tech stacks, activating an AI workforce of specialized agents that draw from banking data, interaction history, and integrated systems of record. These banking-trained agents automate workflows across voice and digital–from front office to back office–resulting in decreased operational costs and the Universal Banker model.

Trusted by 700+ banks and credit unions for its ironclad security and reliability, Glia delivers the industry’s first contractual no-hallucination guarantee. It’s why Glia customers quickly and confidently put Banking AI to work with measurable results from day one. More information about Glia can be found at glia.com.

Reports to: SVP, Impact Marketing

About the Role

Glia is the leader in banking AI. More than 700 banks and credit unions use our platform to automate interactions, empower frontline teams, and serve their communities better. The brand that carries that story is now a team sport spanning design, content, web, and customer advocacy. This role unifies them.

As Director, Impact Brand Marketing, you will own how Glia looks, sounds, and shows up everywhere a customer, prospect, analyst, or candidate encounters us. You will lead four functions as one creative engine: the Design team that produces our visual identity, the Content team that drives our editorial voice and thought leadership, the Web team that runs Glia.com as our storytelling and conversion engine, and the Customer Advocacy team that turns 700+ customers into our most credible channel. You will set the strategy, build the operating rhythm, and be accountable for a brand that earns attention in a market crowded with AI claims.

This is a player-coach role. You will spend some of your time leading, prioritizing, and developing people & projects, and some of it in the work itself: shaping a brand campaign concept, pressure-testing a narrative, or rewriting a headline that isn't landing.

Core Focus Areas

  • Brand Strategy & Identity

    • Define and evolve Glia's brand strategy, visual identity, and verbal identity as the company scales its leadership in banking AI.

    • Own brand architecture and naming governance across a growing product portfolio, keeping usage consistent from sales decks to the website to analyst briefings.

    • Maintain and enforce brand guidelines, and make them easy for the whole company to use.

    • Act as the final creative quality bar for high-visibility work: launches, events, executive platforms, and category campaigns.

  • Design

    • Drive Glia’s design efforts, ensuring our visual output continues to evolve in a way that reflects our leadership in the banking AI space.

    • Provide design support to Glia as a whole, ensuring our design helps teams feel a part of a bigger mission, that is consistent with how we represent ourselves externally.

    • Coordinate and assign budget to contractors who will help to scale our in-house design team.

  • Content & Editorial

    • Set the content strategy for internal and agency teams: the themes, formats, and channels that establish Glia's point of view with bank and credit union leaders.

    • Ensure editorial output ladders to business goals, from awareness and category leadership through pipeline influence.

    • Partner with Communications and Product Marketing so campaigns, launches, and press moments speak with one voice.

  • Web

    • Own Glia.com as the brand's front door and the marketing team's highest-leverage conversion asset.

    • Set priorities across brand expression, campaign pages, SEO/AEO performance, and conversion optimization, and hold the roadmap to measurable outcomes.

  • Customer Advocacy

    • Direct the advocacy program: case studies, references, community programs, and customer awards that make Glia's results tangible.

    • Connect advocacy output to the moments it matters most: sales cycles, renewals, analyst evaluations, and events.

  • Team Leadership

    • Lead and develop the managers of Design, Content, Web, and Customer Advocacy, including goal setting, performance reviews, career development, and hiring plans.

    • Build one operating rhythm across the four teams: shared planning, shared intake and prioritization in Asana, and clear service-level expectations for internal partners.

    • Decide what is built in-house versus with agencies and freelancers, and manage those external relationships and budgets.

    • Champion generative AI in the creative workflow, raising output and quality without flattening the brand's distinctiveness.

  • Measurement & Operations

    • Define the scorecard for brand: awareness, share of voice, web performance, content engagement, advocacy coverage, and creative throughput.

    • Report results and learnings to marketing leadership on a regular cadence, and adjust investment based on what the data shows.

Requirements: Must-Haves

  • 10+ years in brand, creative, or content marketing, including 5+ years managing teams, with experience managing managers.

  • Track record leading multi-disciplinary creative organizations (design, content, web, or advocacy in some combination) in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.

  • Proven ability to build and evolve a brand through category creation or repositioning, with work you can show and results you can explain.

  • Strong editorial judgment and a high creative bar; you can give precise, actionable feedback on design and copy alike.

  • Experience managing agencies, budgets, and in-house/out-of-house tradeoffs.

  • Data fluency: comfortable using web analytics, engagement data, and pipeline influence to steer creative investment.

  • Experience leading distributed teams across time zones.

  • Communication skills and English language proficiency and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

Strongly Preferred

  • Fintech, banking, or other regulated-industry experience.

  • Proven prowess using AI in brand, creative, and content functions to drive productivity and efficiency.

  • Hands-on familiarity with the modern creative stack: Figma, Webflow, Asana, and generative AI tools in production workflows.

  • Experience with customer marketing or advocacy programs.

  • Comfort supporting executive communications and analyst relations moments.

  • Comfort adapting web content for both human readability and machine interpretation.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
