About the Position 
In this role, you will own all aspects of the identity business, including a clear product line growth strategy and driving field success within WatchGuard sales and the partner community. You will work closely with the Senior Vice President of Product Management as well as other senior leadership in the company, including Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Finance. You will be responsible for using the product line P&L to lead all aspects of the identity business and will report to upper management on a bi-weekly basis on alignment with company OKRs and financial metrics.

Your impact on this role

  • To drive ongoing ambitious growth in the identity business in excess of 30% YoY growth.
  • Develop a clear product line strategy aligned with the company's goals of cross-selling and new partner recruitment, leveraging the WatchGuard Unified Security Platform.

Requirements

  • General Manager or equivalent experience
  • Deep expertise in modern authentication and authorization protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO2).
  • Hands-on experience with identity platforms such as Okta, Duo, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, or SailPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to align identity strategy with broader enterprise security architecture and business objectives.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with engineering, sales, marketing, compliance, and audit stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles and implementation across identity workflows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.
  • Experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001) as they relate to identity.
  • Proven experience leading M&A integration efforts from an identity perspective.
  • Familiarity with identity threat detection technologies and identity-centric security operations.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across organizational boundaries and hierarchical levels.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of progressive Product Management experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
  • MBA preferred
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in identity, access management or multi-factor authentication leadership roles.
  • More than 5 years of experience in a channel lead sales organization

Compensation
The base salary range is $180,000-$210,000 per year for full-time employment, exclusive of benefits. This position is also eligible for a bonus of 20% of the base salary. Your base salary compensation will be based on your individual skills, education, and experience. Please keep in mind that the above range is the full base salary range for this role; hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical in order to allow for future salary growth.
