About the Role:

CrowdStrike is looking for a Director, Hyperscaler Partner Marketing to own the overarching marketing relationship and plans for our cloud partnerships. This role is responsible for the strategic direction and global execution of joint marketing with AWS and Google Cloud, while providing executive oversight for Microsoft and Oracle (OCI).

You are a seasoned marketer who understands that cloud partnerships are the primary engine for our growth. You will be responsible for designing high-impact global plans that integrate seamlessly with regional activities and corporate programs to drive measurable pipeline. You are a master of cross-functional leadership, able to align various teams behind a single vision through clear logic, data-backed strategy, and executive presence.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Global Planning: Architect a unified marketing blueprint for AWS and Google Cloud. You will ensure that global corporate initiatives are translated into actionable, high-impact regional programs that drive local pipeline while maintaining global brand standards.

  • Marketplace Revenue Leadership: Lead net-new logo acquisition by designing and executing strategies focused on Cloud Marketplace. This includes leveraging your expertise and collaborating with the SMB campaigns team to maximize possibilities within the marketplace ecosystem.

  • Driving Consumption Commitment Utilization: Creatively help customers utilize their committed hyperscaler spend to procure CrowdStrike solutions. This involves mastering the mechanics of AWS EDPs, Google Cloud Commits, and OCI consumption models to drive marketplace revenue.

  • Functional Leadership & Alignment: Lead the strategy across Partner Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, and regional teams. You possess the seniority and track record to drive consensus and move projects forward in a matrixed environment by coming to every interaction with defined outcomes and a clear path to ROI.

  • Executive Presence: Serve as a key advisor to leadership. You will prepare and present strategic GTM updates to executive stakeholders at both CrowdStrike and our partner organizations, ensuring all discussions are outcome-oriented and professional.

  • Ecosystem Expertise: Leverage deep, existing knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud to hit the ground running. You will manage the complexities of MDF (Market Development Funds) and Cloud Credits, treating them as strategic assets to fuel creative, out-of-the-box marketing motions.

  • Pipeline Innovation: Move beyond traditional tactics to build modern demand-generation engines. You will identify new market opportunities, and build the GTM strategy to capture them.

What You'll Need:

  • Track Record: 12+ years of experience in partner marketing or alliances, with a definitive history of driving growth within the AWS and Google Cloud ecosystems.

  • Marketplace IQ: Deep technical and commercial understanding of cloud procurement, private offers (CPPO/MPPO), and the financial nuances of how enterprises consume cloud spend.

  • Strategic Mindset: An out-of-the-box thinker who can design complex, multi-touch global plans and see them through to execution.

  • Professional Communication: Exceptional ability to lead meetings, influence high-level stakeholders, and present complex data in a clear, actionable format for executives.

  • Proven Autonomy: A self-starter who thrives in high-stakes environments and is comfortable setting the pace for a global strategy.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
