How You Will Make an Impact

The Director, Human Resources is an integral part to the success of Atlas Energy’s corporate, manufacturing and last mile operations. This role manages the employee life cycle, strategic planning and targeted solutions for Atlas at the manufacturing and last mile sites. The Director, Human Resources is a trusted partner and advisor across the organization.

This role will be based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX with 50% travel to the field.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage all Human Resources programs and initiatives at sites.
  • Drive Talent management that aligns with real time business goals
  • Manage and lead HR transformation programs including standard practices, process optimization, reduction of admin burden via automation, strategic planning and change management.
  • Plan, develop and execute the start-up of new company divisions and subsidiaries.
  • Experience with M&A – onboarding and integration of personnel, policies, procedures and culture
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personnel procedures and policies.
  • Responsible for Associate Life Cycle, including interview participation, onboarding, counseling, corrective action, investigations, performance management, Workers Compensation and offboarding.
  • Provide coaching and conflict resolution to leaders on employee relations, culture and escalating issues as necessary to minimize risk to Atlas.
  • Provide HR leadership and support including workforce planning, succession planning, reduction in force, communications, and compensation.
  • Participates in projects within the manufacturing site and within the HR Team
  • Make decisions on headcount, compensation, and forecasting with leadership team based on business need and future growth.
  • Lead and train a team of HR professionals.
  • Work with various intercompany teams on implementation, training, and follow-up for new policies and procedures, HSE and operations for example.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • Minimum 5-7 years of Human Resources experience required specifically with managing large, high velocity teams
  • Experience leading HR at a publicly traded company.
  • 50% travel to the field – within US – meetings, conferences, etc.
  • High level of Organization, adaptability to change and thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to demonstrate solid judgement and experience assessing risk relative to the business
  • Coaching, consulting and facilitating skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal law and regulations
  • High degree of financial and business acumen
  • Ability to deliver best in class customer service
  • Strong organization & time management skills with the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously
