What You’ll Do

Our Networking team is at the heart of CoreWeave’s High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure. We design, build, and operate large-scale, low-latency, high-throughput networks that power some of the most demanding AI and HPC workloads in the world. As we scale, networking is not just a backbone — it’s a differentiator in performance, efficiency, and reliability.

About the role:

As the Director of HPC Network Infrastructure, you will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of CoreWeave’s global high-performance networking stack. You’ll be responsible for advancing our network architecture to support hyperscale GPU clusters, low-latency interconnects, and petabyte-scale data movement across data centers. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide teams in building the next generation of networking systems for HPC and AI workloads. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, systems, and AI platform teams to ensure that our network consistently delivers world-class performance and reliability at scale.

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering with at least 5+ in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record designing and operating large-scale data center networks supporting HPC or AI/ML workloads.

Deep expertise in:

  • Experience deploying and scaling 100/200/400G networking technologies.
Strong background in network security, segmentation, and isolation for multi-tenant HPC/AI environments.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling engineering teams from scratch.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience leading networking for cloud-scale HPC or GPU-accelerated platforms.
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA networking technologies (BlueField DPUs, Quantum/ConnectX InfiniBand).

Wondering if you’re a good fit?

We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk.

  • You love solving complex problems at scale in HPC and AI infrastructure.
  • You’re curious about the future of networking and how it unlocks new AI and HPC capabilities.
  • You’re an expert in architecting and delivering networks that push the boundaries of performance and reliability.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
