Director, Guided Pathways Regional Coordination Team

We are seeking a Director to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. What You’ll Do
The Guided Pathways Implementation Team consists of 15 regional coordinators that work directly with college personnel to plan and implement systemwide reforms in support of Vision 2030. The team also includes 3 associate directors who manage the teams assigned to work directly with colleges. The team helps ensure that the college personnel working to change outcomes for students, increasing completions rates and closing equity gaps, receive the support and resources they need to do their work effectively and in alignment across initiatives. This is a visible position which works directly with Chancellor’s Office Executive staff regularly and is responsible for contractual obligations. This position works in collaboration with other directors of the Success Center to align and integrate the work of their teams while also reporting on accomplishments and performance indicators.
- Work closely with Chancellor’s Office Executive staff to define and iteratively refine workplans for the team.
- Represent the Foundation and Success Center in meetings about the team and the needs across the system related to Vision 2030.
- Collaborate with Success Center program directors to integrate and align programmatic work for system impact.
- Responsible for the execution of annual workplans to achieve deliverables in contracts, remaining in budget.
- Understand, communicate about and report on the achievements of the team to Success Center, Foundation and Chancellor’s Office.
- Ensure management of all staff aligns with timelines, policies and procedures of the Foundation and Success Center including annual performance reviews, compensation recommendations, KPI reporting, human and financial resource planning.
- Manage the team and the progress at colleges using agile principles ensuring that the work of the team is transparent, iterative and responsive to the Chancellor’s Office and needs of the field.
Attributes for Success
- Must have demonstrated experience working at scale, either implementing statewide or national programs in higher education.
- Knowledge of community college reform efforts, knowledge of Guided Pathways preferred
- Familiarity with strategic goals of the California community college system and interventions that support student success including, postsecondary pathways, dual enrollment, credit for prior learning, improved transition from high school to college, course-sequencing, program and pathway design, industry-aligned competencies and credentials, and acceleration in developmental education
- Qualitative research skills and analytical skills; ability to examine different sources of evidence to find common themes
- Knowledge of quantitative methods, statistical analysis, and qualitative tools and strategies
- Demonstrated skill at leading teams of professionals working with institutions of higher education

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:
$135,000.00 - $145,000.00Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
