What You’ll Do

As the Director of Growth & Partnerships, you’ll wear many hats—leading our growth and development efforts across multiple channels while ensuring clients feel deeply supported and valued.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Own and lead all marketing initiatives including digital advertising, email marketing, social media, branding, and more.
  • Build and execute lead generation strategies to drive qualified leads from HR leaders and decision-makers.
  • Oversee and continuously refine the entire marketing strategy across channels to ensure brand consistency, performance, and ROI.
  • Pull and analyze marketing performance reports (e.g. CAC, CTR, conversion rates) to inform decisions and prioritize high-impact efforts.
  • Oversee marketing performance metrics and continuously test/iterate for optimization.

B2B Sales & Outreach

  • Design creative sales campaigns and lead direct outreach to HR teams and benefits leaders at mid-sized companies (cold email, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Collaborate with SDR to ensure high email deliverability and list health through smart segmentation, domain management, and sending practices.
  • Collaborate with SDR to optimize outbound campaigns and messaging, making data-driven decisions to improve performance.
  • Create and maintain high-impact sales collateral (e.g. pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies) to support outbound and discovery conversations.
  • Conduct sales calls and demos with a warm, personable approach, building rapport with HR leaders on sensitive topics such as mental health and DEI.
  • Draft contracts and pricing estimates for strong leads and closing sales.
  • Manage and maintain our sales pipeline/CRM, including leads sourced from various outbound and inbound channels.

Partnerships

  • Spearhead market research to identify emerging trends, potential collaborators, and opportunities within the employee benefits and mental health space.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with aligned companies to drive referrals, co-marketing initiatives, and new revenue streams.

Account Management & Client Experience

  • Oversee new client onboarding, including contract execution and final pricing estimates.
  • Manage and implement annual client renewals, including contract execution and pricing.
  • Monitor and optimize client engagement by promoting new internal mental health programming and resources, and managing the user support team.
  • Oversee the client account manager, reviewing monthly invoices and engagement data.
  • Oversee client roster management and therapist recruiting initiatives in new locations.

Team Leadership

  • Manage our Sales Development Representative and Marketing team.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing culture grounded in trust and continuous learning as we scale.

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally selling to HR or People teams in the SMB market.
  • You’ve worked in mental health, health tech, or mission-driven startups and understand how to balance impact with hands-on execution.
  • You’re comfortable working with sales tools like HubSpot, Apollo, and Monday.com to manage pipelines, outreach, and reporting.
  • You have experience using marketing and advertising platforms including LinkedIn Ads, Meta (Facebook) Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Canva, and AI tools to create, run, and optimize campaigns.
  • You're not afraid to get your hands dirty—you thrive in a fast-moving, build-as-you-go environment and lead by example.
  • You have experience managing direct reports and take pride in building a team culture rooted in trust, inclusion, and continuous growth.
  • You’re a team player who collaborates cross-functionally and brings others along with clarity, humility, and optimism.
  • You care about DEIB and are committed to consistent effort to build an inclusive workplace.
  • Must have a positive attitude and a sense of humor!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
