About the Role

Crunchyroll is building the global home for anime. As we expand across markets and platforms, we are seeking a Director, Talent Attraction & Employer Brand to architect and activate a world-class talent narrative that reflects our brand, strengthens proactive talent pipelines, and elevates the end-to-end candidate experience globally.

You will own Crunchyroll's global Employer Value Proposition (EVP) strategy, talent marketing ecosystem, emerging and early career programming, and candidate experience journey design. You will sit at the intersection of brand, talent acquisition, culture, and growth and will ensure our employer brand is both globally consistent and locally relevant across international markets.

You will also explore and apply innovative approaches, including the thoughtful use of Generative Artificial Intelligence, to modernize talent attraction, personalize candidate engagement, and enhance content creation and sourcing strategy in a responsible and brand-aligned manner.

 Key Responsibilities:Talent Attraction & Employer Value Proposition Strategy
  • Develop and continuously evolve Crunchyroll's global Employer Value Proposition aligned to corporate strategy and brand positioning.
  • Translate the EVP into structured messaging frameworks supporting technical, corporate, executive, and campus hiring.
  • Ensure the employer brand is thoughtfully localized across international regions while maintaining global brand consistency.
  • Partner closely with Corporate Communications and Brand Marketing to align consumer and employer brand storytelling.
  • Strengthen Crunchyroll's differentiation in competitive technology, creative, and global talent markets.
Talent Social, Digital & Innovation Strategy
  • Own strategy and activation across talent-focused social platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and emerging channels.
  • Develop and execute a global talent content calendar showcasing Crunchyroll's culture, creators, fandom, and growth story.
  • Identify opportunities to responsibly leverage Generative Artificial Intelligence to:
    • Enhance talent content creation and localization
    • Personalize candidate engagement at scale
    • Support proactive sourcing and pipeline development
    • Improve audience targeting and campaign effectiveness
  • Establish performance metrics and continuously optimize engagement, reach, and conversion.
Emerging & Early Career Programs
  • Design, launch, and scale a formalized internship and emerging talent program with a sustainable operating model.
  • Build structured pipelines into full-time roles and support global expansion of the program.
  • Develop university partnership strategy, access initiatives, and program branding.
  • Implement structured onboarding, mentorship, and conversion pathways to support long-term retention.
Candidate Experience, Referral & Mobility Strategy
  • Own and design the end-to-end candidate experience across functions and regions, ensuring consistency, clarity, and brand alignment.
  • Define experience standards, communication expectations, and key journey touchpoints in partnership with Talent Acquisition Operations.
  • Establish and evolve a modern, data-informed Employee Referral Program to increase quality pipelines and internal advocacy.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition leaders to strengthen Internal Mobility strategy, ensuring clear visibility into growth pathways and talent movement across the organization.
  • Evaluate responsible automation and emerging technologies, including Generative Artificial Intelligence, to enhance personalization, efficiency, and experience at scale.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Partnership
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition leaders across Technical Recruiting and Corporate Recruiting to align attraction strategy with hiring demand.
  • Collaborate with Diversity and Inclusion leaders to ensure inclusive messaging and equitable access to opportunities.
  • Work with Human Resources Centers of Excellence to align talent programs with workforce planning, development, and total rewards strategies.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador of the Crunchyroll employer brand internally and externally.

 Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Employer Brand, Recruiting Strategy, or related talent leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success building and activating Employer Value Proposition and talent marketing strategies.
  • Experience launching or scaling early career or internship programs.
  • Strong fluency across talent-focused social media platforms and digital content strategy.
  • Experience evaluating and applying emerging technologies, including Generative Artificial Intelligence, within talent or marketing ecosystems.
  • Experience partnering across Corporate Communications, Brand Marketing, Diversity and Inclusion, and Human Resources Centers of Excellence.
  • Experience operating in high-growth, technology-enabled, media, or consumer brands.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort leveraging data to inform strategic decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for anime, fandom, or digital entertainment culture.
  • Experience operating in global or multi-market environments.
  • Familiarity with Talent Acquisition technology stack integration, including Candidate Relationship Management systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, and social automation tools.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
