Director of Global Payroll - 10628

What You'll Do:

• Lead global payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring timely, accurate processing for all employees.
• Manage payroll accounting, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Drive automation and process improvements to optimize payroll systems and enhance efficiency.
• Oversee and consolidate third-party payroll providers, managing SLAs and vendor relationships.
• Utilize technical skills (e.g., SQL, Snowflake) to build and maintain payroll data automations.
• Lead and develop a global payroll team, while ensuring compliance with international payroll regulations.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal, while managing audits, SOX compliance, and payroll-related controls.

What You'll Bring To Coupa:

• 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including 5+ years leading global payroll operations across multiple regions (EMEA, APAC, LATAM, North America).
• Deep expertise in payroll regulations, tax laws, compliance, and payroll accounting, with proven experience in audits and reconciliations.
• Hands-on systems knowledge, including payroll/accounting/banking platforms (e.g., Dayforce, NetSuite, ActivPayroll, JPM), integrations, and advanced Excel skills.
• Technical capability in SQL and data warehousing concepts (Snowflake preferred), with a track record of driving automation and process improvements.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performing global teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution abilities, with a focus on stakeholder management and discretion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CPA and/or CPP preferred).
