Job Description

We’re looking for a Director, Global Experiences and Events to join Procore’s global marketing team as a groundbreaking event marketing leader. In this new role, you’ll create and execute the events and experiences that engage with Procore’s most important audiences–from C-suite executives in our largest and most strategic accounts, to key prospects in our burgeoning markets.

If you are a thoughtful leader, an event execution unicorn, and a purposeful risk-taker, this could be the role for you. As our Director, Global Experiences and Events, you’ll build upon the success of our existing portfolio of events and programs. We don’t believe that events are “one and done,” rather we’re looking for someone to stitch our portfolio together– to ensure that the Procore brand remains consistent, that the experiences are holistic, and that an attendee understands the intention and difference of each touchpoint.

In partnership with all of marketing, but most notably our Industry Partner & Field Marketing, Content & Culture, and Executive Engagement teams, you will deliver on experiences and events that bring together leaders in the construction industry. You’ll drive pipeline, memories, and relationships. But you won’t do this alone! You will have a team of talented event producers and planners to create opportunities for Procore to forge new and deeper relationships with key personas across our market segments.

This position reports into our VP, Global Executive Experiences and Events and can be based remotely in the US with travel to our Procore offices and events when necessary. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

Here’s the person we’re looking for:

  • You want to be the leader for production strategy, team optimization, and the execution of a large portfolio of events:

    • Our flagship executive experiences–the Executive Forum@Groundbreak and the PGA events

    • Field Marketing Roadshows across NAMER

    • Third-party events like World of Concrete and Advancing Construction

    • Culture Academy (primarily Austin)

    • Global Executive Briefing Centers

    • Executive CABs

    • And, the next cool thing we think of

  • You love to develop and implement event strategies that align with organizational objectives and brand messaging

  • You can get in the weeds with event production– including venue selection, logistics, catering, and AV, and you have familiarity with registration, event management software, and other relevant technologies that impact an attendee’s experience

  • Structure is your thing. You’ll happily design a scalable set of processes and event kits that we can roll out across the world, you crave an organized Google Drive, and a balanced budget makes you smile

  • You want to cultivate relationships internally and externally to improve our production efficiencies, processes, and opportunities

  • You enjoy negotiating a contract or pushing back on the cost of trucking (IYKYK) and legal compliance and risk management is always at the back of your brain

  • You’re ready with your contact list to create a bench of exceptional production/agency partners and own the day-to-day relationships

  • Data doesn’t scare you. You’ll utilize data-driven insights and analytics to measure the effectiveness of our initiatives, optimize program performance, and drive continuous improvement

  • You’re open to change, change, change and like to take a calculated risk

  • You can cultivate and mentor a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development, whilst still doing your day job

What we’re looking for:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable

  • 10+ years’ experience in global B2B marketing with a focus on executive program execution, preferably within the SaaS industry

  • Expertise in developing compelling event formats and experimenting with technology and ideas

  • Proven success in creating unique and memorable experiences that advance relationships with key decision-makers and executives

  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to capture and share key data and insights, and use them to drive key marketing strategies and decisions

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated high levels of integrity, initiative, honesty, and leadership

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
