Position Summary

The Director, Global Digital Marketing is responsible for defining and leading the global digital marketing strategy for Mentor Worldwide, the world's leading breast implant company.

As a strategic marketing leader, the role leads a team of 5 that partners closely with commercial, marketing, medical affairs, legal/compliance, IT, procurement, agencies, and regional teams to develop scalable digital capabilities and campaigns that accelerate business growth while ensuring compliance within a highly regulated healthcare environment.

The role serves as the global digital marketing subject matter expert, leading enterprise-wide initiatives across websites, social media, customer experience, content operations, marketing technology and artificial intelligence.


Key Responsibilities
Global Digital Strategy & Transformation
  • Develop and execute the global digital marketing and digital transformation strategy aligned with Mentor's business objectives.
  • Lead digital marketing capability development across global, regional, and local markets.
  • Drive organizational adoption of innovative digital solutions including AI-powered marketing capabilities.
Digital Marketing Leadership
  • Oversee global digital marketing programs across:
    • Website ecosystems
    • Social media channels
    • Search optimization
    • Paid digital media
    • Customer engagement platforms
    • Influencer and ambassador programs
    • Content marketing initiatives
  • Lead development and globalization of integrated global campaigns, ensuring consistent brand expression, scalable market activation, and measurable business impact.
  • Establish best practices for digital campaign development, execution, measurement, and optimization.
  • Lead omnichannel marketing strategies that connect customer experiences across digital and offline touchpoints.
  • Partner with regional marketers to ensure alignment of global standards while enabling local market flexibility.
Website & Customer Experience Management
  • Own global website strategy and governance.
  • Lead team to deliver website optimization initiatives focused on:
    • User experience; Customer journeys; Lead generation; Conversion optimization; SEO performance
  • Direct platform migration and modernization initiatives, including enterprise CMS transformations.
  • Ensure all digital experiences meet regulatory, accessibility, privacy, and brand requirements.
Digital Governance & Compliance
  • Establish and maintain global digital governance frameworks.
  • Define globalization models and governance standards that enable efficient adaptation of campaigns, brand assets, and digital content across regions while maintaining global consistency.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Regulatory Affairs teams.
  • Lead simplification and optimization of Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review processes for social / digital.
  • Develop scalable governance models that balance risk mitigation with marketing agility.
Content Strategy & Content Operations
  • Lead global content strategy and lifecycle management, establishing governance frameworks and measurement standards that drive consistency, scalability, and performance.
  • Develop and implement content standardization, localization, and reuse strategies that maximize efficiency and deliver a consistent brand experience across regions.
  • Lead the development, rollout, and ongoing governance of global brand books, messaging frameworks, toolkits, campaign assets, and other core content resources to ensure brand alignment worldwide.
  • Optimize content operations through streamlined approval and deployment workflows and digital asset management solutions that improve accessibility, compliance, and speed to market.
Social Media Excellence
  • Define and govern global social media strategy while leading transformation initiatives that scale capabilities across markets within compliant healthcare frameworks.
  • Develop and expand ambassador, influencer, and advocacy programs that strengthen brand awareness, engagement, and long-term growth.
  • Manage agency partnerships responsible for community management and social engagement, ensuring effective execution, performance, and audience connection.
Mentor Brand ownership
  • Since Digital is now the primary expression of Mentor Brand – this role will deliver campaigns through our agency that represent our Mentor Brand and imagery and content will be leveraged for non Digital assets
  • Be internal Champion and owner of Brand in partnership with Mentor Communications Director
  • Lead and partner with regional marketers on photoshoots / digital asset creation
  • Own agency relationship from Brand and Digital perspective
Marketing Technology & Innovation
  • Partner with IT on digital marketing technology ecosystem.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize platforms supporting:
    • CMS
    • Analytics
    • Social media management
    • Content operations
    • Marketing automation
    • AI enablement
  • Partner with enterprise technology teams to align with organizational architecture and security standards.
Data, Analytics & Performance Measurement
  • Establish global digital measurement frameworks and KPI dashboards.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making across marketing investments and customer engagement activities.
  • Develop reporting structures that provide actionable business insights.
  • Monitor performance across:
    • Social media and content performance
    • Campaign effectiveness
    • Lead generation
    • Customer engagement
  • Identify optimization opportunities through analytics and customer insights.
Stakeholder & Agency Leadership
  • Serve as the primary global digital marketing advisor to senior leadership.
  • Manage relationships with strategic partners, consultants, agencies, and technology providers.
  • Facilitate alignment across global, regional, and local stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Digital Marketing team while mentoring and coaching team members and regional marketers to strengthen organizational capability.
  • Build and scale digital capabilities, literacy, and adoption across the franchise to accelerate marketing effectiveness and digital maturity.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement that drives new ways of working and ongoing optimization.
  • Lead change management efforts tied to digital transformation initiatives, ensuring successful adoption and sustainable business impact.
Budget & Vendor Management
  • Own global digital budget management, investment planning, and resource allocation to ensure spending is aligned with strategic priorities and business objectives.
  • Lead agency and supplier management, including scopes of work, performance metrics, contract oversight, and optimization initiatives that drive efficiency, value creation, and return on investment.

QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, Technology, or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, digital transformation, or omnichannel customer engagement.
  • Significant experience leading global digital strategies within healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing global agency and technology partner relationships.
  • People leadership experience 5+ years

The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required – up to 25%.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$150,000.00 - $258,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
