The Director of Global Commercial Pricing is responsible for establishing a Global Pricing strategy and guide for Levi's to unlock significant gross margin expansion for the brand through execution of consistent pricing, promotion, and markdown strategies in our markets.

We are looking for a strategic Director of Global Commercial Pricing to lead Levi's overall pricing strategy. You have a deep understanding of pricing dynamics, competitive analysis, and market trends within the retail or apparel sector. We ask that you be a proactive leader who can collaborate with key partners across Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and Data Science to ensure pricing reflects our business objectives and maximizes profitability.

About the Job
  • Pricing Strategy Development:

    • Develop pricing strategies that align with Levi's strategic priorities and driving profitability and margin growth.

    • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor pricing to inform pricing decisions.

  • Market and Competitive Analysis:

    • Conduct research on industry standards and pricing models.

    • Monitor competitor pricing strategies and promotions to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration:

    • Work with merchandising, planning, and finance teams to develop cohesive pricing strategies.

    • Coordinate with merchandising to ensure agreement between pricing and product assortments.

    • Collaborate with global and market teams, including data science and pricing analytics teams to develop tools and processes for pricing strategies.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Utilize pricing analytics tools to assess pricing performance and make data-driven decisions.

    • Set and enforce channel-specific promo guardrails (mechanics, depth, calendar).

    • Define markdown rules and decision frameworks aligned to lifecycle, inventory, and margin goals.

    • Set targets and guidance.

    • Partner with Demand Planning to align price changes with volume shifts using elasticity models.

    • Present pricing reports and recommendations to senior management.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Mentor a team of pricing analysts, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

    • Provide training and resources to enhance team capabilities in pricing analysis and strategy development.

  • Policy Development:

    • Establish and maintain pricing guidelines to ensure consistency across all products and channels.

    • Implement pricing tools and systems to streamline pricing processes and improve accuracy.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in pricing strategy, analytics, or related roles in retail or apparel.

  • Strong understanding of pricing dynamics, algorithms, and financial modeling. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel (can perform complex functions) , SQL).

  • Familiarity with pricing software and analytics tools.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $144,800-$219,300 per yearWe may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
