The Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned Director to join our practice. This role operates at the intersection of financial strategy, analytics, and operations. You will lead engagements across a portfolio of high-growth clients, acting as a trusted advisor who balances hands-on execution with high-level strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities
● Client Management: Lead multiple client engagements as the senior finance point-of-contact, shaping long-term strategy, capital planning, and operational initiatives.
● Core Finance Execution: Oversee and drive critical finance processes including month-end close (reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition), cash flow management, and budget vs. actual analyses to deliver actionable insights.
● Financial Modeling & Strategy: Develop complex financial models (cash flow, operating models, scenario plans) and support board/investor communications.
● Strategic Projects: Advise clients on capital raise, system implementations, and operational finance improvements.
● Growth & Mentorship: Participate in business development, elevate delivery standards, and mentor junior professionals.
Core Qualifications
● 4–7 years of experience in audit, transaction services, or strategic finance, ideally with 4–5 years from a top 10 accounting firm or direct competitor.
● Demonstrated experience within a startup, or consulting environment.
● Exceptional Excel and modeling skills (ability to build complex models from scratch).
● Deep understanding of financial statements and the ability to translate analyses into clear, actionable business guidance.
● Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines with excellent client management, communication, and presentation skills.
● Exposure to SaaS, CPG, Professional Services, or Travel industries preferred.
● Familiarity with financial systems (eg. QuickBooks, NetSuite, Gusto, or Ramp) preferred.
