The Beverly Wilshire a Four Seasons Hotel is looking for a Director of Finance who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. This position has the opportunity to shape employee and guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned hotels. The position reports to the RVP/ General Manager.

Work authorization for the location is required.

About the role:

The Director of Finance is responsible for safeguarding the hotel assets and financial resources to ensure that all are utilized to maximize hotel profitability. Provides timely and accurate financial information and counsel to hotel senior management and ensures that the hotel operates within all related local and corporate policies and procedures and under the terms of the management agreement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, control and record all sales, purchases, salaries and expenses of the hotel.
  • Ensure the preparation of a comprehensive monthly report of the entire financial results of the hotel in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets as required locally, by corporate office or management agreement.
  • Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Review the cash position of the hotel on a daily basis in order to optimize the use of funds.
  • Maintain files on all contracts, leases and agreements and ensure compliance with their requirements.
  • Monitor the status of Accounts Receivable aging and billing collections to achieve company standards.
  • Assist General Manager in establishing policies, rules, internal controls and safeguards
  • Maintain close relations with hotel’s internal and external auditors and ensure effective action necessary on all agreed upon recommendations.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for individuals who have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, are able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation, and can evidence having a solid work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service.

Applicants are required to have five  years of experience minimum for this role.  

College education or equivalent experience is required.
