Role
As the Director of Finance at Avnos, you will be responsible for leading all financial operations, planning, and analysis while partnering with the CEO to drive strategic financial decisions. This role reports directly to the CEO. This role is for you if you have experience working at a growing startup, thrive in a dynamic environment where your financial expertise will directly impact company growth, have a proven track record of implementing robust financial systems, and can balance day-to-day operations with long-term strategic initiatives.
You will:
- Manage all financial operations including month-end closing procedures, cash burn analysis, and forecasting while overseeing the outsourced accounting/finance service providers.
- Develop and lead the annual budgeting process with regular re-forecasting to ensure financial targets align with company objectives.
- Implement and maintain a delegation of authority matrix to establish clear financial decision-making frameworks across the organization.
- Oversee capital project financial operations, including budget setting, implementing cost controls, and tracking project progress.
- Produce comprehensive financial reporting including Budget vs. Actual (BvA) and Budget to Completion (BtC) analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Apply manufacturing cost accounting expertise to optimize production finances and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Interface with existing and potential investors and lenders, providing periodic reporting and financial data to support funding activities and maintain stakeholder relationships.
You have:
- 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including demonstrated success working in high-growth startup environments.
- Proven expertise in capital project management, manufacturing cost accounting, and implementing financial controls.
- Strong track record of managing investor and lender relationships, with experience in financial reporting and stakeholder communications.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Salary: For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $175,000 - $230,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The range listed above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity and benefits. The final compensation package will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills and experience.
