Director of Events

Lantern is seeking an events marketing leader to help drive the teams’ success by providing cross-functional support for all event types. They will drive the overall strategy, execution, and management of external and internal events, including virtual events/webinars, and customer events. The Director of Event Marketing will be both strategic and data-driven, monitoring events to ensure delivery on crucial KPIs, especially lead generation. The scope of this role will also include planning, budgeting, development of content/themes, hiring and managing a team, and management of vendor and supplier relationships. You are willing to roll up your sleeves to support tactics, while leading the strategy

Location: Remote | USA | Travel Required

Responsibilities:

  • Own the external third-party events strategy and the end-to-end event management.
  • Effortlessly project manage participation and level sponsorship process, logistics, event staffing, creative development, event enablement, and results.
  • Proactively annually plan and execute events calendar, budget development and tracking.
  • Report on performance and analyze results to evolve event strategy to drive strong efficacy.
  • Able to manage multiple day-to-day event marketing plans.
  • Set up processes and playbooks for the growth and sales teams.
  • Successfully manage and own vendor relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and contractors.
  • Successfully manage third party events budget, including forecasting.
  • Willing to get your hands dirty and work together with cross-functional partners on tactical efforts.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience managing events targeting Enterprise customers.
  • Success in running a marketing program in a fast-paced business.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience: ability to build trusted relationships with relevant internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of how to leverage digital tools, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, and paid media to deploy marketing campaigns.
  • Results-oriented mindset and comfort in analyzing data with an understanding of how to use data to optimize at different stages of the funnel.
  • Instinct for what great customer experience looks like in different mediums and an experimental mindset when creating programs.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with tight deadlines.
