Position Purpose: Conduct ethics & compliance investigations, assist in translating investigative findings into corrective action, and support ethics and compliance strategy, program development, policies, and communication
- Conduct ethics and compliance investigations, prepare high-quality written reports, and present findings as appropriate to stakeholders, including business leaders, human resources, and legal counsel
- Proactively identify and pursue investigative opportunities based on risk assessments, data analysis, and industry trends to spotlight compliance risk
- Draw actionable insights from investigative findings and trends, and communicate insights to business and compliance partners to facilitate scalable, sustainable risk mitigation
- Review and resolve escalated ethics and compliance concerns communicated by external stakeholders
- Work at the direction of and in collaboration with legal counsel to conduct investigative work in connection with anticipated or active litigation
- Take a leading role in the development, review, revision, and presentation of ethics and compliance policies, including the Company’s Code of Conduct, and training
- Act as a strategic partner and advisor for Company employees and leaders on ethics issues, and serve as a model for the Company’s core values and behaviors
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience conducting internal investigations, or equivalent experience, required. 5+ years of compliance program management and contract experience with State Medicaid programs including internal and State audits; 2+ years experience in the development of compliance and fraud programs; 2 years experience with overseeing implementation of contract requirements. Previous management experience.
Advanced degree preferred, with emphasis on strong analysis, critical thinking, and writing. 3+ years experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
Pay Range: $116,100.00 - $214,700.00 per yearCentene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
