What's the role?

We’re seeking a Director, Enterprise Data Strategy & Revenue Analytics, to define and own Modern Campus’s data strategy across our go-to-market ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Revenue Operations, this is a highly strategic role that partners across Revenue, Marketing, Customer Experience, Product, and Finance to ensure that our institutional-impact story is grounded in trusted, unified, and actionable data.

In this role, you will serve as the architect behind how Modern Campus leverages data to drive growth, designing our enterprise data framework, evolving how KPIs are defined and governed, and enabling our teams to make confident decisions with clarity and speed. You will elevate analytics from reporting to narrative: telling the story of performance, identifying opportunities, and guiding the business toward its most critical outcomes.

What You’ll Own & Deliver

Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance

  • Define, implement, and continuously evolve Modern Campus’s enterprise-wide data strategy to support the full learner-to-earner lifecycle narrative.
  • Establish data governance standards including taxonomy, KPI definitions, data lineage, validation rules, and stewardship models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust across all systems.
  • Lead data quality management (auditing, cleansing, normalization, and enrichment) to support long-term scalability.

Cross-Functional Insight Architecture

  • Create a unified KPI framework tied to strategic revenue, retention, and customer engagement goals; ensure all teams operate from one source of truth.
  • Build and maintain a scalable analytics infrastructure that supports real-time and predictive insights across the customer journey.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Finance to drive annual and quarterly planning cycles through forecasting, predictive modeling, and scenario analysis.

Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling

  • Use SQL, Power BI, and other tools to synthesize complex data sets, build predictive models, and develop clear, compelling insights.
  • Proactively identify growth constraints, risk signals, pipeline trends, and customer behavior patterns to inform strategy and prioritization.
  • Transform data into narratives using storytelling techniques grounded in higher-education realities and Modern Campus’s value proposition.

Systems Ownership & Optimization

  • Partner with sales, marketing and customer operations to help drive the data architecture across CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation, product usage data, and operational databases.
  • Ensure data capture processes are optimized to support future analytics requirements.
  • Lead and prioritize enhancements that enable higher-quality reporting and eliminate manual work.

Enablement & Change Leadership

  • Advocate for a data-driven culture across Modern Campus by educating stakeholders, improving data literacy, and enabling self-service analytics.
  • Collaborate across product and go-to-market teams to ensure insights influence strategy, roadmap decisions, and customer engagement motions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership and senior leadership team to bring confidence, clarity, and strategic perspective to every conversation.

What you offer...

  • 7+ years in analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy roles, with increasing scope.
  • Deep expertise in data architecture, modeling, and enterprise reporting frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (or equivalent), SQL, and enterprise data tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Strong executive storytelling, with the ability to translate data into strategic direction.
  • A bias toward action, extreme ownership, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, high-growth environment.
  • A collaborative mindset - someone who builds trust across functions and elevates the people around them.
  • Passion for higher education and the impact technology can have on learner and institutional success.

What we offer...

  • The base salary range* for this position is between $100,000-$140,000
  • Remote first workplace!
  • Rewards and recognition programs
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • The ability to make a difference every day for universities trying to grow and students trying to learn!

Only qualified candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
