Responsibilities

• Partner with company leaders to build and execute an engineering strategy
• Build company ability to demonstrate value of our engineering efforts 
• Drive and lead a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement 
• Partner with Program Directors and individual engineers to ensure successful quality and delivery of our work
• Partner with the growth team to help develop solutions to new opportunities
• Lead professional development of senior engineering leaders within the company

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience leading engineering teams, including at least 5 years experience leading engineering efforts in a consulting-oriented organization 
• Experience leading engineering efforts in a growth-stage environment or scaling an engineering organization.
• Experience leading engineering efforts with a drive toward company growth.
• Experience building the systems and developing the personnel to create a culture of innovation, curiosity, and excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience delivering digital products or services for government agencies, public sector organizations, or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with the unique challenges of large scale technology systems (legacy constraints, security, compliance, etc.).
• Experience with a P&L line of business and an understanding of the process of selling services to clients
• Demonstrated interest in emerging tech and how it can be applied to solve real-world problems (e.g. AI/ML, modern DevSecOps practices, open source tools in government).
