About the location:
Overlooking the Venetian Lagoon and just steps from Piazza San Marco, Four Seasons Hotel Danieli, Venice is an iconic property offering elegant, spacious accommodations. The historic hotel showcases majestic Venetian architecture dating back to the 14th century. Guests can also enjoy spectacular views of Venice’s landmarks from the rooftop Restaurant Terrazza Danieli.About the role:
This role reports to the General Manager and will be responsible for providing professional direction and strategic leadership for the team and all aspects of the hotel and building maintenance. This position will include project management (including annual and long-term capital expenditures), procurement and planning, leading the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel, and budget planning and management.
What you will do:
Train, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Engineering department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all maintenance and engineering tasks, ensuring the highest levels of safety, functionality, and aesthetic standards throughout the property.
Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental standards as set forth by Four Seasons, as well as local, state, and federal regulations, are fully met and maintained.
Communicate regularly with employees and department heads to ensure operational needs are met, and participate in regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Maintain control systems to monitor preventive maintenance, energy efficiency, and equipment performance, ensuring optimal operation and long-term asset preservation.
What you bring:
College degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience is required.
Three to five years of previous experience in a leadership role within Engineering, Facilities, or Maintenance, ideally within luxury hospitality.
Ability to read, speak and write in English and Italian.
Strong technical knowledge and ability to operate and troubleshoot building systems and engineering equipment.

Schedule & Hours:
This is a full-time position
The candidate must have a flexible schedule and work also on weekends and holidays.
This position is based at the Hotel Danieli, Venice and the contract is regular. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy.
