The Position

We’re looking for a Director of Engineering, Consumer to lead the engineering strategy and execution for our consumer-facing product team. You’ll be the go-to partner for cross-functional stakeholders, lead and build the consumer engineering pod, and set the pace for building products that delight our customers while driving business impact.

What You'll Do

  • People Leadership: Lead, coach, and manage a team of engineers, driving growth, accountability, and high performance.
  • Engineering Strategy: Own the engineering strategy and delivery for the consumer pod, ensuring product requirements translate into scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for consumer product stakeholders, ensuring alignment between technical feasibility and business goals.
  • Execution & Delivery: Drive a delivery process that ships customer value week over week with high velocity and quality.
  • Technical Guidance: Set and reinforce best practices, establish strong technical standards, and raise the bar for collaborative excellence across the team.


 

Who You Are

  • Strong track record of building, leading, and managing teams of high performing engineers.
  • Experience building data-intensive or complex consumer products, such as subscription platforms, social media, marketplaces, ecommerce, or consumer SaaS.
  • Deep product engineering background, with a proven ability to deliver customer-facing features at speed.
  • Strong technical proficiency in modern consumer-facing stack, with the ability to translate business needs into clear and effective engineering strategy.
  • Strong collaborator and communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in understanding our customer and problem space, with a passion for creating a game-changing consumer product.

The anticipated salary range for this role's listed level is $200,000-$250,000.  Level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, in alignment with market data.
