WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role, you’ll serve on the LA Brand Marketing Leadership Team, collaborating across sport categories to deepen consumer relationships and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture internally. You’ll partner with North America and Global Energy & Nike Sportswear Marketing teams, and work cross-functionally with teams such as Sports-Led Brand Marketing teams, Sports Marketing, Digital, Paid Media, Retail, Entertainment & Celebrity to bring world-class plans to life.

A successful candidate must clearly demonstrate and articulate their experience in the essential requirements listed below:

  • 8-10 years of experience in brand and/or brand functional management, with a strong focus on cross-functional marketing.
  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Experience in managing relationships with external partners. 
  • Proven success in cultural marketing, particularly within Los Angeles’ fashion, art, design and streetwear communities, as well as a demonstrable understanding of the visionary and forward-thinking consumer, the nuances of Los Angeles and Nike's position within it.
  • Experience driving lifestyle/sportswear business, as well as demonstrable understanding of the Sportswear consumer & the retail landscape that drives business. 
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and project management skills with wide range of stakeholders, brand and business.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility and ability to maintain cohesive brand presence across multiple channels.
  • Highly collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about the role of sport in shaping culture. 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As the Nike Energy & Sportswear Marketing Director Los Angeles, you will be part of the Los Angeles Brand Marketing Team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, LA. Overall, you will identify hyper-local cultural and sport moments for brand engagement, cultivate relationships with influential creatives, visionaries & sportswear enthusiasts across Los Angeles, energize key brand sport initiatives, and develop strategic marketing plans for Nike’s Global collaborator portfolio, as well as drive end-to-end marketing plans to storytell our biggest Sportswear franchises. 

Specifically, you will be responsible for: 

  • Leading the Energy & Sportswear Marketing strategy in Los Angeles.
  • Creating visionary marketing concepts aimed at pushing the intersections of sports and culture through creativity.
  • Creating end-to-end marketing plans for Nike’s largest Sportswear franchises. 
  • Developing and executing marketing plans for Nike’s global collaborator portfolio in partnership with external creatives, retail partners and internal teams.
  • Building strategic partnerships across fashion, art, design and streetwear to elevate Nike’s cultural footprint.
  • Building, developing, engaging and empowering a high-performing, diverse and agile marketing team 
  • Serving as a key member of the LA Brand Marketing Leadership Team, influencing broader marketing strategies and initiatives.
