About This Role  

This leader will ensure that core systems, including Salesforce and its ecosystem, operate with reliability and consistency, creating the foundation for impactful innovation. With stability established, the role will evolve to drive automation, productivity, and scalability through cutting-edge solutions, mostly AI-First, that empower the Sales team to achieve their best results. They will be the driving force behind the sales organization's digital evolution, spearheading initiatives with relentless energy, passion, and an ability to inspire and mobilize teams. In this fast-paced, ever-changing environment, The Director of digital transformation must lead with agility and conviction, creating a movement that aligns direct and indirect teams to deliver bold outcomes ahead of market demands 

Key Responsibilities  

Operational Stabilization  

  • Assess, triage, and resolve current challenges in the operations of core Sales systems to deliver reliable performance and establish credibility with stakeholders.  

  • Develop and implement support processes, SLAs, and governance frameworks to ensure consistent and dependable system operations.  

Stakeholder Engagement and Trust-Building  

  • Build trust with stakeholders by delivering quick wins, transparent communication, and consistent outcomes that align with their needs.  

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.  

System and Process Optimization  

  • Streamline and stabilize processes and workflows, including lead and opportunity management, quoting, renewals, forecasting, and reporting, to enhance usability and efficiency.  

  • Partner with Sales leaders to ensure systems are enabling, not hindering, productivity and sales outcomes.  

Foundation for Innovation  

  • Once operations are stable, identify and execute opportunities for full-depth automation and innovation, embedding AI and OutSystems low-code solutions to drive significant productivity gains.  

  • Build a roadmap for system evolution, ensuring alignment with business priorities and scalability for future needs.  

  • Craft and execute a bold digital strategy rooted in a build vs. buy approach, leveraging OutSystems’ low-code platform, a composable architecture, and AI-First capabilities.  

  • Continuously identify opportunities to push the boundaries of innovation, delivering solutions ahead of market trends.  

  • Balance immediate business demands with long-term strategic goals to future-proof digital initiatives. 

Team Development and Morale  

  • Inspire and empower the team by providing clear direction, prioritizing workloads effectively, and fostering a collaborative environment.  

  • Lead with transparency and empathy to rebuild morale and create a culture of accountability and excellence.  

Agile Execution  

  • Drive an Agile approach to prioritizing, delivering, and improving systems and processes, ensuring the ability to pivot as business needs evolve.  

Competencies and Skills  

Technical and Operational Expertise  

  • MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree, with a preference for technology 

  • 10+ years of experience managing Sales systems, with deep knowledge of Salesforce and its ecosystem (e.g., CPQ, CLM, analytics tools).  

  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience, overseeing teams and driving strategic initiatives.

  • Proven success in stabilizing and optimizing system operations in a complex environment.  

Leadership and Influence  

  • A hands-on leader capable of aligning teams and stakeholders during periods of uncertainty and change.  

  • Exceptional communication skills to manage expectations, provide transparency, and build trust at all levels of the organization.  

Strategic Thinking with Operational Focus  

  • Strategic mindset with a focus on operational excellence as the foundation for long-term innovation.  

  • Ability to translate complex problems into actionable plans that deliver measurable results.  

Change Management Expertise  

  • Skilled at navigating challenging environments and driving transformative change while maintaining team engagement and morale.  

Process Improvement and Innovation  

  • Track record of streamlining operations and implementing automation to unlock productivity and scalability.  

Agile Mastery  

  • Proficient in Agile methodologies (Lean, Scrum, Kanban) with a history of fostering iterative, collaborative delivery processes.
