The Job:

As Director of Digital Research and Insights, you will collaborate with the Merchandising, Product, and Marketing Teams to drive holistic digital research and insights for The CW App. The main responsibility of this role is to understand The CW’s audience and their engagement with the brand across all our digital touchpoints and leverage internal Streaming data to optimize how we engage with our users & expand our audience. 

The Daily:

Business Insights

  • Serve as in-house PowerBI and analytics lead to manage and track digital analytics, performance and status.

  • Ability to distill large amounts of data from various sources and provide clear storytelling analysis to internal stakeholders.

  • Provide regular and ad-hoc analytics reports with a focus in streaming and device behavior.

  • Build out insights roadmap leveraging Power Bl, mParticle, Branch, Conviva, Braze etc. under direction from CW Digital management team.

  • Define measurement criteria & create executive-level dashboards that provides actionable insights.

  • Work collaboratively with digital team members to develop reports that outline highlights and weekly status of the digital business.

  • Work on product strategy presentations for CW senior leadership.

Product / UX Insights

  • Strong understanding of audience & UX behavior reporting via GA4, Looker, TiVo Insights & Conviva Eco.

  • Strong understanding of A/B testing methodologies and tools such as (Optimizly, Adobe Target, etc...)

  • Create & audit data-schema for the App and collaborate with app development team to determine coding and triggers for data collection based on internal requests for data.

  • Create UX based reporting in Looker & PBI to support Merchandising teams Roadmap.

  • Create and monitor video trend and analysis reporting to insure video stability and uptime.

  • Provide guidance on creative/ merchandising changes to the App Experience or Marketing Campaigns via Braze.

  • Create and Expand Audience Cohorts to align with CW branding and app content.

  • Collaborate with Product Team to create Audience Lifecycle models to measure & improve user journeys across a connected marketing ecosystem.

Digital Marketing

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on ad-hoc reporting requests involving Marketing & Streaming Insights for PR related or Sales deck Statements.

The Essentials:    

  • Minimum 5+ years experience with digital research and analysis

  • BA/BS degree in related field preferred.

  • Strong understanding of digital entertainment landscape.

  • Ability to distill data and package it in a clear way for stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

  • Strong understanding of analytic tools/software for Streaming – GA4, PowerBI, Looker, Conviva Video & ECO, Tivo Insights/ Engagement, mParticle.

  • Comfortable with multiple social and marketing analytics tools – ListenFirst, Sprout, Neilsen Social, Google Ads, Braze, Branch.

  • Familiar with using project management tools to collaborate with internal and external partners – JIRA, Confluence, Asana, Airtable.

  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, MS Office, Outlook, Google Docs, etc.

The Compensation

  • 100k – 110K/yr commensurate with experience and skill levels.

  • The CW will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring.
