That’s where you come in! We’re looking for a Director of Data Science to oversee the Data Analytics and Data Science functions of the company. 

What You’ll Do:
  • Work closely across data analytics, data science and product to enable the team to deliver high impact functionality and hit dates committed to on the roadmap
  • Use business acumen to help prioritize product features and technology roadmap items
  • Create and maintain a technology roadmap
  • Work closely with other engineering leadership to mentor and guide them on business, career planning, budget and technical architecture
  • Create and maintain an engaging and fun engineering and data culture
  • Coach and mentor analysts, data scientists and managers to empower them to be the best versions of themselves. You will need to find the right balance between creating the space for them to do their best work, and coaching and developing new skills.
  • Recruit and onboard new analysts, data scientists and managers
  • Improve our delivery processes to increase accuracy of estimation, reliability of delivery, and velocity of execution
  • Oversee the company’s technology vendor relationships and provide recommendations on whether to buy or build components and capabilities
  • Learn and apply knowledge about the drug discount space, and become a subject matter expert for internal teams to draw upon
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other engineering disciplines, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer or Data Scientist in a professional full-time role
  • 8+ years experience leading a data analytics, data science or similar data team
  • 4+ years experience working with data scientists on AI / ML modeling
  • Experience with Cloud Native technology development and deployment
  • Experience building and scaling teams including leading recruiting initiatives
  • Understand and design for non-functional concerns such as performance, cost optimization, and maintainability
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for requirements analysis, debugging, and risk assessment
  • Knowledge of and experience implementing engineering principles and agile development procedures

Expected Salary Range: $175,000 - $215,000 base + bonus

This position can be remote in the United States or hybrid in Chicago, IL or Boston, MA. Expected hours will be Eastern or Central time.
