WME is seeking a hands-on, technically strong Director, Data & Reporting to lead business reporting and product analytics across internal enterprise applications. This role is responsible for delivering trusted insights related to bookings, deals, revenue, and product usage, while partnering closely with executive leadership, Finance, Business Operations, Product, and Engineering.
This is a player-coach role combining hands-on analytics and reporting with team leadership. The Director will oversee business intelligence and product analytics efforts, leveraging tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Amplitude, while helping evolve analytics practices and data foundations over time.
The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, high ownership, technical depth, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, architects, and visualization specialists.
Set priorities, establish standards, and ensure timely delivery of high-impact reporting and analytics.
Foster strong collaboration across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Business Operations.
Business Reporting & Analytics
Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards used across the organization.
Develop and maintain robust data models using SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
Perform hands-on analysis to answer business questions and surface actionable insights.
Own reporting accuracy, reconciliation, and documentation of data definitions and logic.
Product Analytics
Own product analytics for internal enterprise applications.
Partner with Product and Engineering to define usage metrics, funnels, and behavioral insights.
Leverage Amplitude to understand user behavior, identify workflow friction, and inform product improvements.
Ensure consistent instrumentation and well-documented event definitions.
Connect product usage data with operational and financial outcomes.
Data Quality, Governance & Foundations
Partner with data engineering to improve pipelines, integrations, and data reliability.
Establish data governance standards including taxonomy, naming conventions, access controls, and documentation.
Implement QA processes and anomaly detection to ensure data integrity.
Oversee reconciliation of revenue and bookings across BI, CRM, and Finance systems.
Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement
Partner with executive and functional leaders to define KPIs aligned to business operations.
Translate complex data into clear insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
Drive adoption of analytics through enablement, training, and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in data, analytics, or reporting roles.
Demonstrated experience in a hands-on leadership or player-coach capacity.
Strong technical expertise in SQL and modern BI platforms.
Power BI experience strongly preferred.
Experience partnering with Finance, Operations, Product, and executive stakeholders.
Strong understanding of end-to-end data flow and reporting architecture.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Nice-to-haves
Experience supporting internal or enterprise software platforms.
Familiarity with CRM, deal, or revenue systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, etc).
Experience working in a complex, multi-business or multinational organization.
Background in media, entertainment, sports, or related industries.
Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the hourly rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.
Hiring Rate Minimum:
$142,500 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable state/local minimum salary thresholds)Hiring Rate Maximum:
