The Opportunity

The Director of Data Analytics  will lead the data strategy, data science and analytics functions for the company, driving decisions involving the integration and management of data as well as delivering business insights through data analytics, dashboard development and predictive models. This Director will contribute at a strategic level and will steer our strategy with their insights. This role manages a full-time data analyst and supports key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Product, and Engineering to better understand the metrics, trends and insights behind the business. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Your Impact

  • Own our data strategy. Lead the planning, prioritization and deployment of all data initiatives for the company, including dashboard development, ad hoc analysis and predictive analytics projects. This includes driving the vision of AI use within data
  • Drive analytics and insights by being a thought leader and authority for the company on trends of key business metrics (ie. LTV, CAC, ARR, ARPA, Churn, and AOV). 
  • Maintain and establish analytical frameworks to support product, business and operational decision making.
  • Manage dashboards, reports, and visualizations using our data warehouse (Snowflake), transformation layer (DBT) and visualization solution (Looker) 
  • Collaborate and provide thought leadership across departments (Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales and Finance)  to understand and support ongoing and new data requirements, driving data development projects and improvements 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of conversion rates in purchase funnels and subscriber churn, providing strategic recommendations for optimization.
  • Develop predictive models to identify trends or make connections between disparate data sources that yield insights to drive more informed decision making
  • Ensure data quality and governance: Build and maintain systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the organization.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years experience in data management role in a subscription/SaaS business  
  • Proven experience in business intelligence, with a strong background in data analysis and visualization
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and grow a BI-focused team
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data warehousing and visualization technologies like Snowflake, Looker,  DBT
  • Understanding of key business metrics and their impact on subscription and transactional models
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies
  • Experience in data science and predictive analytics
  • Statistical background including model building experience a significant plus
