The Director of Analytics will mentor a team, collaborate across departments, drive analytics use cases, and participate in data-informed decision-making.
IDT seeks a Director, Analytics, to join and grow an existing analytics practice. IDT has a great culture of group decision-making and a reliance on data & analytics, offering a unique opportunity to influence outcomes.
The Director, Analytics will be responsible for a variety of activities:
· Mentoring and developing a team of analysts and data scientists.
· Working cross-functionally with other departments, using analytics & data science to solve business problems and drive business impact.
· Partnering with the Sales & Marketing Departments to drive, develop and deploy new use cases for analytics, enterprise-wide
· Work on internal or external presentations, and review the work of staff on an ongoing basis.
· Participate actively in business discussions, helping the organization make data-informed decisions.
· Provide requirements to the data engineering team as needed.
EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION/ # OF YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/ REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum qualifications:
- Practical working knowledge of Python, pandas, and scikit-learn.
- Practical working knowledge of SQL.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and use data/insights to improve business results.
- Degree in a quantitative field (engineering, math, economics, computer science, physics, or data science).
- Previous experience managing a team or delivering projects.
Additional Information:
- Preference for US-based candidates. If we want someone with experience in New Jersey, then the budget is $150,000 - $200,000.
- Hiring someone remote in the USA is OK.
- Want to avoid someone working in Europe.
- LATAM or Mexico OK.
