About the role

We're looking for a Director of Creative Operations to keep our in-house creative engine running at full speed, making sure big, culture-shaping ideas come to life on time and at their best. You'll lead the systems, workflows, and people that power our creative expression across video, motion, experiential, and brand projects.

You'll guide a global team of project managers and collaborate across marketing, events, product, and international teams. We're looking for someone who brings clarity and structure without slowing the creative spark — someone who sees process as a way to make great work happen.

Creative Operations

  • Lead day-to-day operations for brand, video, motion, experiential, and copy teams
  • Build scalable systems to deliver high-quality creative work across campaigns
  • Align planning, priorities, and resources with creative and business goals
  • Improve workflows, documentation, and intake processes for smoother collaboration
  • Keep visibility on budgets and schedules to spot risks and opportunities early

Project Management

  • Lead and mentor a global team of project managers
  • Oversee creative development from briefing to delivery
  • Manage campaign timelines, milestones, and review checkpoints
  • Partner with regional teams to keep execution consistent and connected across markets

People & Process

  • Foster a supportive, high-performing team culture
  • Turn creative needs into clear, actionable operational plans
  • Balance workloads, team cadence, and communication for focus and flow
  • Act as a bridge between creative, marketing, and external partners

Tools & Systems

  • Optimize project management tools and creative workflows
  • Simplify processes to reduce friction and boost efficiency
  • Track team goals, progress, and blockers with transparency
  • Ensure systems scale across campaigns, formats, and regions

We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.

About You

  • 12+ years in creative project management, operations, or studio leadership
  • 5+ years leading project managers or operational leads across creative disciplines
  • Deep understanding of brand, video, experiential, and campaign workflows
  • Proven success building scalable systems in fast-paced, collaborative environments
  • Skilled in project management tools like Wrike, Airtable, and Google Workspace
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Passion for creative teams, anime, fandom, and storytelling

The Creative Services team at Crunchyroll is a passionate group of designers, writers, producers, and creative leaders who develop campaigns and experiences that bring anime to life. From trailers and brand storytelling to social content and events, we create work that celebrates the art of anime, honors its stories, and connects with fans around the world. We operate across regions, time zones, and formats — always with a shared goal of making anime feel as vibrant and emotionally powerful as it truly is

The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
