We are looking for a Director of Corporate FP&A to join our Finance leadership team. This is a high-impact role designed for a strategic thinker who thrives in the intersection of financial discipline and rapid growth. You will be the architect of our global consolidation and the primary engine behind our reporting cycles, ensuring that our narrative to investors is backed by airtight data. This is a key leadership role and will partner closely with executives to help shape our financial strategy and discipline.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Financial Engine: Lead global consolidations and monthly reporting
  • Investor Relations & Strategy: Partner with the CFO and executive team to prepare our reporting cycles. You will play a pivotal role in crafting our story for investors.
  • Mature and Scale our Reporting: Re-imagine and redesign our reporting capabilities to deliver world class reporting for a dynamic and fast growth company.
  • Drive Scalability: Build and refine the financial infrastructure required for a mature organization. This includes implementing robust EPM enhancements and standardizing KPIs.
  • Operational Excellence: Provide deep-dive analysis into Revenue, gross margins, OpEx, balance sheet, and free cash flow, translating complex data into actionable insights for the Board of Directors.
  • Lead with Impact: Manage and mentor a high-performing Corporate FP&A team, fostering a culture of transparency, accuracy, and relentless improvement.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in Finance, with a significant portion in Corporate FP&A at a high-growth technology or hardware company.
  • Public Markets Fluency: Proven experience in an IR-facing role or significant involvement in quarterly earnings prep and 10-K/10-Q financial narratives.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and EPM systems (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, or NetSuite). You understand how to turn a spreadsheet into a strategic roadmap.
  • Strategic Communication: The ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear, concise updates for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required. An MBA or CPA is a strong plus.
Who You Are
  • Growth-Minded: You aren't just a "numbers person"; you are a business partner who understands the levers that drive a consumer-tech brand.
  • Rigorous & Reliable: You have a "zero-defect" mindset when it comes to financial reporting and external disclosures.
  • Adaptive: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where the only constant is change, and you can pivot from high-level strategy to granular data audit in a single afternoon.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
