Deepgram is looking for a Director of Community Growth to support the strategy and development of Deepgram's brand in developer and user-facing communities. As a Director of Community Growth you will work with our DX (Developer Experience), Applied Engineering, Product and Marketing teams to build content that hits the right tone and distribute it where our technical audience spends their time. Your success will be measured on driving product signups that turn into deals as well as the engagement and growth of our hosted and third party communities. What You’ll Do

Community Engagement: Foster user relationships within the Deepgram user community (Discord), monitoring engagement, encouraging conversation and developing processes for our internal team to better extract themes and feedback

Content Creation and Distribution: Develop and share a content calendar and strategy, then distribute the content to inspire play in community members, kicking off a UGC (user generated content) flywheel across hosted community as well as channels like Reddit, X and YouTube

Social Media: Own our company handles and create posts that stand on their own (zero click content) as well as developing content for key executives and Deepgrammers

Community Event Management: Organize and host (or sponsor) hackathons, livestreams, and meetups to strengthen community bonds and create goodwill and word of mouth for Deepgram

Feedback Management: Partner with DX to collect and relay community feedback to internal teams to inform product development and resonant messaging for marketing

Analytics and Reporting: Monitor community metrics as well as the success of events and other engagements and their influence on revenue

5+ years of experience at a developer-facing company

A grasp on what’s trending in the places developers play

A keen eye for metrics and like to pull your own reports

Excellent writing skills that will help you capture the hearts and minds of a deeply technical audience

An understanding of how developers operate and what “smells like typical marketing”

A former life as an engineer or sales engineer

Compensation Range: $165K - $210K
