Position Summary

The Director of Commercial Strategy and Activation will work alongside their manager to ensure outstanding Orion Select program activations. A successful candidate will have a solid background in client and partner negotiations, programmatic activations, and CTV planning.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for working with Growth teams and Orion Strategic Business Development to package programmatic solutions for existing clients and new business 
  • Responsible for contributing to Orion Select client pitching by:
    • Delivering analysis comparing the existing investment/media plan to the Orion Select optimized media plan
    • Developing materials that customize the Orion Select approach to the individual client business strategy
    • Create Case Study materials
    • Contribute to the operational framework (client heatmap, intake form, tech matrix, and planning calculator)
  • Responsible for Strategy and Activation of Orion Select Campaigns:
    • Delivering and aligning media plans across key stakeholders (eg Investment, Orion)
    • Campaign setup (eg targeting, audience strategies, PMPs)
    • Campaign optimizations utilizing the Orion value calculator
    • Post campaign reporting
  • Responsible for overseeing Activation for Orion Select campaigns that are activated through a 3rd party (eg Kinesso and managed services)
  • Contribute to the successful launch of client activations across multiple teams/accounts, including planning, campaign delivery, post campaign reporting, and case studies
  • Support Orion negotiation framework by delivering insights and requirements for Orion Select including volume, rate card, and activation
  • Support the ideation, evaluation and negotiation of product and commercial opportunities with tech and publisher partners to drive evolution of the Orion Select offering 

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven track-record of successfully seeking out and curating new business relationships and/or solutions; developing solutions using new or existing processes 
  • Expert ability to assess and rank issues and tasks in order of importance for taking action  
  • Support IPG relationships for clients across all lines of business
  • Expert knowledge of technology or measurement ad tech solutions, including platforms  
  • Expertise in Data Analysis 
  • Successful collaborator with the ability to create healthy collaborative environments 
  • Expertise in Project and Account Management
  • Expert communicator – concise and clear communication in all forms; emails, presentations, reports, etc.  
  • Advanced ability to anticipate, recognize and clearly define problems using various techniques to systematically analyze, weigh alternatives and propose solutions  
  • Experience managing existing business relationships, partnerships, and alliances internally and externally

The salary range for this position is posted below.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
