As Director of Clinical Informatics, you will optimize digital health workflows and enhance provider-patient experiences through innovative technology while ensuring regulatory compliance and collaboration across teams.
Ro is a direct-to-patient healthcare company with a mission of helping patients achieve their health goals by delivering the easiest, most effective care possible. Ro is the only company to offer nationwide telehealth, labs, and pharmacy services. This is enabled by Ro's vertically integrated platform that helps patients achieve their goals through a convenient, end-to-end healthcare experience spanning from diagnosis, to delivery of medication, to ongoing care. Since 2017, Ro has helped millions of patients in nearly every single county in the United States, including 98% of primary care deserts.
The healthcare system today is not designed to help patients achieve their goals. It’s designed around institutions such as hospitals and insurance companies. A patient centric healthcare system is one that is designed around the goals a patient wants to achieve. We’re building healthcare that puts patients in control, provides reactive and proactive care, has transparent pricing and process, is extremely effective and ridiculously convenient, and evolves over time based on patients’ goals.
Ro has been recognized as a Fortune Best Workplace in New York and Health Care for four consecutive years (2021-2024). In 2023, Ro was also named Best Workplace for Parents for the third year in a row. In 2022, Ro was listed as a CNBC Disruptor 50.
The Director of Clinical Informatics will report to the Chief of Staff to the Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Informatics and will collaborate closely with Product, Product Design, Provider & Clinician Network (including Nursing and Pharmacy), Quality & Safety, Care Delivery, and Data teams. In this role, you will help shape the future of Ro’s clinical workflows and electronic medical record system, ensuring providers have the tools to deliver high-quality, efficient, and effective care. At Ro, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and building innovative technology that empowers individuals to take control of their health, enhances physician capabilities, and strengthens our expanding, tech-driven medical network.
Who You Are
You are a clinician, an informationalist, and a bold innovator. You don’t just accept the status quo—you challenge it. You’re passionate about improving healthcare delivery through technology, constantly asking, “How can this be better?” You think strategically but execute pragmatically, translating clinical insights into scalable, real-world solutions. Your ability to connect dots across disciplines allows you to thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment. You communicate with clarity and creativity, ensuring that complex ideas translate into actionable improvements. You have a keen eye for detail while maintaining a big-picture mindset, and you are energized by solving tough problems in novel ways. You have experience as a healthcare provider, deep familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare technology, and a strong understanding of data engineering—ensuring the integrity of healthcare and EHR data. Ideally, you have firsthand experience innovating on EHRs and Informatics tooling in a digital health setting.
