As the BSI Director, Workday at Fortra, you will be responsible for the strategic oversight, continuous improvement, and operational excellence of our newly implemented Workday platform, with a focus on financial modules and  HCM functionalities. You will be a key member of the BSI leadership team, collaborating closely with Finance and PX stakeholders to define and track KPIs, drive innovation, and ensure Workday delivers maximum financial and operational value. You will drive BSI led initiatives to maintain a cohesive and integrated Workday platform experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Product Ownership & Strategy
    • Own the Workday product roadmap for Financial and HCM modules.
    • Define and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business goals.
    • Lead platform governance and change management processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, Security, and other departments to gather requirements and feedback.
    • Facilitate workshops, demos, and training sessions to drive adoption and understanding.
  • Platform Optimization
    • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and improved user experience across both Financial and HCM modules.
    • Monitor system performance and ensure financial and PX data integrity across modules.
  • Delivery & Support
    • Work closely with the BSI delivery teams, vendors, and support teams to deliver enhancements.
    • Own and maintain the Workday product backlog, ensuring it is continuously refined, strategically prioritized, and aligned with delivery team needs through well-defined requirements and prompt, actionable feedback.
    • Manage release cycles, testing, and deployment of new features.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Partner with Fortra Sec/IT team to ensure Workday configurations meet internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain documentation and audit trails for all changes and decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in ERP, financial systems, or business systems roles, with exposure to HRIS. 
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Workday Financials and HCM.
  • Proven track record in financial product ownership or business analysis within enterprise systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. Background in Information Systems or HR is a plus.
  • Excellent financial analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Workday certifications in Financials; HCM certification is a plus.
  • Experience in post-implementation financial optimization and support.
  • Familiarity with financial and HR integration tools and middleware (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, or third-party APIs).
