KBR seeks to fill the role of Director, Business Development to lead the planning and execution of business development initiatives, in alignment with corporate strategy and in pursuit of short- and long-term objectives across a broad portfolio of business.

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Identification and analysis of new business opportunities to drive profitable growth across a diverse portfolio of customers.
  • Development of strong relationships with customer and industry partners.
  • Personal engagement with existing and potential customers to understand and articulate their mission needs.
  • Alignment of KBR’s broad capabilities to customers’ needs, working closely with technical teams to develop differentiated solutions.
  • Leadership of cross-functional teams in the pursuit and capture of prioritized business opportunities.
  • Detailed competitive analyses.
  • Financial opportunity assessments.
  • Execution of the full business development lifecycle.
  • Travel as required to fulfill responsibilities and effectively coordinate within the KBR team.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Twenty (20)+ years of experience. Ten (10)+ years of US DoD acquisition, test & training systems, or program management experience preferred.  
  • Demonstrated business acumen in the federal contracting industry.  US Army acquisition expertise preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experienced in briefing senior leaders on complex technical solutions and business cases.
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or related technical field required.  Master’s degree in engineering or related technical field desired.
