Director of Business Development - El Segundo, CA

As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategies to grow the company's vision and market share. This role involves building relationships with clients and partners, conducting market research, and leading the business development team developing new business opportunities by identifying potential partners, markets, and sales strategies to drive the company’s growth to new opportunities. You will work cross- collaboratively with the marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment with sales strategy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic and tactical environments and is eager to help drive both sales and business growth. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution to implement business development strategies that align with the company's overall goals.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders. 
  • Prepare and collaborate on sales presentations, proposals, and business pitches to potential clients.
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies to expand the customer base.
  • Identify potential partners, including clients, vendors, and service providers to grow the business strategically.
  • Identify strategy to maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Preparing reports and presentations on business development activities, and tracking performance. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales operations, business development, or a related field.
  • Aviation/BlackHawk pilot experience. 
  • Strong understanding of market trends, lead generation, and sales processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with sales forecasting, performance metrics, and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in or with the DoD
  • Aviation/aerospace and/or defense industry experience
  • Master’s degree or advanced certification in Business, Marketing, or Sales.
  • Proven track record in generating new business and growing sales
