TelevisaUnivision, lead broadcaster and the largest provider of Spanish-language content serving Hispanic audiences, is looking for a dynamic and seasoned Director of Business Development to join our winning team. 

ABOUT YOU:

The Director of Business Development in conjunction with TU’s sales leadership will design and implement the regional revenue growth strategy with a focus on new Client activation.  Serving as the ultimate product expert, he/she will educate prospects about the growing Hispanic consumer landscape and TelevisaUnivision's tailored value proposition targeting this audience. The ideal candidate should possess a history of building close relationships with senior client stakeholders, resulting in successful revenue outcomes exceeding budget expectations.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

  • Continuous Client education about the growing Hispanic market
  • Leverage TelevisaUnivision’s television, audio, digital and experiential platforms
  • Develop, implement & execute business development plans targeting c-suite and senior decision-makers primarily at the Client level and in key verticals.
  • Identify and recommend new business opportunities supported by data analysis, competitive intelligence and business trends.  With a primary focus on the assigned region/territory
  • Work closely with sales executives to ensure effective communication cadence and the successful achievement of their revenue targets
  • Work closely with other business development team members (larger scale targets, multi-region scope)
  • Identify revenue opportunities with a focus on regional & hyper local businesses
  • Must have a keen eye in emerging categories such as: travel, leisure, healthcare, finance, retail, sports betting, home improvement, and others.
  • Develop, maintain & foster relationships with key clients within the assigned region
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills to effectively convey TelevisaUnivision’s value propositions and drive revenue

YOU HAVE:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate settings, ideally in cross-functional strategic roles focused on media business development. 
  • Strong leadership, managerial and collaboration skills.
  • Must be a highly organized self-starter with a strong emphasis on multi-tasking and the ability to take a project from inception to execution.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and visual) and presentation skills.
  • Have a working understanding of sales inventory and strategy. 
  • A working knowledge of prospecting tools such as Vivvix, Media Monitors, Xray, Winmo
  • Must possess an aptitude for identifying business development opportunities and analyzing data.
  • In-depth understanding of the Hispanic market audience, industry, and market trends as well as UCI viewer consumer habits, ratings, and cross-platform business data.
  • Track record of successfully meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or related field.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position.

Salary Range

$121,962 - $147,000 + bonus + benefits
