About the Job

The Director of Business Development Program Management will play a critical role as we mature and scale the Business Development function. While our BD Partner Leads focus on identifying and structuring new partner opportunities, you will assist them with the end-to-end execution, operationalization, and long-term success of those partnerships, along with the associated Partner Program in aggregate.

This is a unique, hybrid leadership role that requires the strategic mind of a Product Manager, the external mindset of a Marketing Manager, the technical rigor of a Technical Program Manager, and the process-driven mindset of an Operations leader. You will sit at the center of our most complex partnerships – ensuring that every signed agreement results in a successful win-win partnership. You will architect the frameworks and motions that enable our BD team to interface seamlessly with Product, Engineering, and Design – transforming ambitious ideas into high-impact realities.

The US-based salary range for this position is $178,500 to $261,500. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect BD Operations: Assist in building and scaling a high-performing business development function. Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and roll out the internal processes, playbooks, service levels, templates, systems, etc., to assess, negotiate, close, track, and manage the performance of Life360 partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Scoping and Opportunity Assessment: Partner with BD Leads and key stakeholders to scope and assess incoming partner opportunities, including business cases, prioritization frameworks, and performance targets.
  • End-to-End Deal Execution and Stakeholder Orchestration: Lead the program management of complex deals from mid-stage negotiation through to final closing – ensuring the right stakeholders are in the room, decision-making is streamlined, and key risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Post-Signing Integration & Delivery: Act as the primary lead for post-deal (non-technical) integration, alongside the BD Leads and the Technical Program Manager. Assist in translating contractual milestones into actionable workstreams to ensure teams are resourced and timelines are met. Conduct regular partnership reviews, including performance assessments at both a partner and program level.
  • Launch an External Facing Partner Program: Design, roll out, and scale our Partner Program in collaboration with key stakeholders – accelerating Life360’s value proposition to both users and partners.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development Program Management and/or Operations. Experience in Technical Program Management and/or Product Management is also valued. Vertical focus within a high-growth consumer tech/mobile or hardware/software ecosystem is preferred.
  • The "Hybrid" Skillset: You have a proven track record of managing complex projects that involve technical integrations, product roadmaps, and external partner management.
  • Process Architect: You don't just follow playbooks; you build them. You have experience creating operational frameworks from scratch that improve efficiency and cross-functional harmony.
  • Technical Fluency: You are comfortable speaking with engineers, designers, and technical program managers about APIs, SDKs, and UI flows, can recognize risks, and can translate those technical needs into business impact for stakeholders.
  • Strategic Executioner: You can zoom out to see the 30,000-foot strategic goal and also zoom in to manage the granular milestones of a contract.
  • High Influence, Low Ego: You are an expert at leading through influence, navigating ambiguity, and bringing disparate teams together to achieve a common goal.
Our Benefits
  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees)
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Flexible PTO, 13 company-wide days off, and paid Holiday Shutdown
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a remote environment
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership and Free Tile products
Life360 Values

  • Be Direct With Respect – We communicate directly, even when it’s hard.
  • Members Before Metrics – We focus on building an exceptional experience for families.
  • High Intensity, High Impact – We do whatever it takes to get the job done.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
