TelevisaUnivision is looking for a Director, Business Development Digital. This position will act as an “Account Lead” or Business Driver for the Local Division of TelevisaUnivision (TU) with a focus on Digital Sales growth across all digital platforms, including streaming, social, audio, and display. The primary goal of this position is to drive new business through local or regional clients across TU’s entire digital portfolio. While a sales position, the role is consultative in nature and requires regular interaction and dialogue with senior-level client decision-makers to accomplish TU’s mission. The position will utilize all available resources to educate clients about the Hispanic market and help them target the Hispanic consumer. This position will work for the Vice President, Local Digital Sales to establish new business execution & metrics focused on digital growth in the Local Media division. The position will work with all sales-related vendors and resources to drive business.  The ideal candidate must be successful in helping to develop new business, opening doors, and fostering and directing high-growth accounts that span both traditional and emerging brands and industries. This highly driven individual will be dedicated to growing local digital advertising revenue through individual contributions as well as assigned partnerships

YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)

  • Drive sales for assigned region and markets, and use all TU Digital platforms—including Streaming, Social, Audio, Video, and Display—to drive revenue growth.
  • Work independently to target and grow new clients, build and execute sponsorships, create opportunities and multi-platform ideas, and push vendor resources.
  • Use creative and promotional concepts that will activate clients in the Hispanic space. Work with the Research, Strategy & Insights team to lead with data and create opportunities for new clients and agencies.
  • Drive a main focus on Business Development for TU’s digital assets, including Streaming products (ViX, UNow, YouTube), Uforia Streaming Audio, Video Preroll, Digital Display, Digital Sponsorships/Tentpoles, social media, and all Spanish and English-language digital assets.
  • Identify and develop strong revenue opportunities, account development, managing strategic initiatives, and onboarding new accounts to drive digital revenue.
  • With a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, the candidate will be a sales driver with a proven track record of developing and achieving sales budgets for various-sized accounts ranging from $100K-$2M+.
  • Use creative and promotional concepts that will activate clients in the Hispanic Digital space. 
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through the development of new customer acquisition.
  • Prepare and present accurate and comprehensive sales pitches/presentations and establish close business relationships with all levels of clients.
  • Understand customer needs and develop solutions across multiple digital channels, including social, display, audio, and streaming.
  • Own, manage, and develop relationships with clients, agencies, and advertisers.
  • Schedule and execute meetings/presentations with buyers, planners, and clients.
  • Provide feedback and market input that will strengthen TU’s digital opportunities and value proposition.
  • Develop strong relationships throughout TU to ensure a unified and coordinated strategy is presented in the market.  

YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • 4-10+ years of client-facing experience in a similar ad sales management or business development role with a digital organization or agency; experience with multiple digital platforms (OTT/CTV, Social, Audio, Display) preferred.
  • Proven history of meeting and exceeding digital sales goals and driving YOY growth, with a demonstrated track record in closing new business individually.
  • Extensive sales experience and relationships, as well as a network working directly with high-level decision-makers such as CMOs, SVPs, and VPs of Marketing, and Brand Managers.
  • Sales experience working with advertising agencies/media buying services and processes involved in bringing clients to market across multiple media. Exceptional relationships with digital agencies, direct clients, and brand planning offices.
  • Experience closing small to large-size deals across digital platforms, including video streaming/OTT, social media, digital display, and experiential marketing.
  • Expertise in digital sales processes, digital platforms, technical markets, pricing models, measurement platforms, technology trends, customer buying patterns, and budgeting across all asset and platform types, including display, video, audio, social, branded content, and email transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand a brand’s business, challenges, organizational structures, budgets, and timelines to develop solutions and strategies that drive consumer activation and sales through digital media.
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively with others in the entire sales organization, including TU Sales Team, Stations, and Management within a multicultural environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to translate ideas into clear, high-impact communications when presenting in front of clients.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Internet & Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Must bring exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position.

Base Salary Range: $110,000- $132,000 + Bonus + Benefits
