We are looking for a highly experienced Scientific Business Development Manager who embodies ambition and positivity. Someone who can passionately take ownership of their responsibilities, collaborating effectively with remote teams to not only meet but exceed our objectives and fulfill the evolving needs of our expanding customer base.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Identify new partners for QM to work with 
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with core partners, aligning goals and incentives, and ensuring mutual success 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all relevant government (federal, state and/or local) entities to ensure QM’s access and to advance its strategic goals 
  • Map and prioritize the landscape of global government-funded opportunities 
  • Manage QM’s grant-submission process and applications for government tenders, and ensure smooth hand-off to Operations team 
  • Build QM’s strategy for and lead QM’s participation in regional and global consortia and initiatives 
  • Support QM’s Sales Team on government-related tenders 

Requirements

Key Requirements: 

  • Demonstrated experience building partnerships and driving them to meaningful performance metrics 
  • Experience working with various levels of government 
  • Strong presentation and relationship-building skills 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Bid writing / Project management experience 
  • Willingness to and passion for learning new technologies quickly 
  • Willingness to travel globally 
  • Quantum Computing or RF electronics experience a plus 
  • Familiarity with and strong existing relationships with quantum-technologies-related agencies – a strong advantage
